I REPAIRED A CEILING FAN

Imagine on a very hot and sunny day, you do not have what to cool the temperature in your room. You will sweat like a Christmas goat.

So, keep your appliances safe by turning it off while you're out. You never can tell what amount of electricity would be released into it. You only have to be there to watch.

A usual customer called me to go check her ceiling fan.
That she left home forgetting to turn it off. When she got back, she noticed there was light but the fan was not rotating.

So I quickly went there. When I arrived her home, I tested the capacitor and it was still good. So it had to be from the inside.

In order to do the work properly, I had to take the fan back to my shop .
When I got there , I opened it.

The earth line of the fan had been damaged due to spark from high voltage.
He was lucky it didn't affect the coil windings.

I just replaced the earth line wire with another strong one.
Made sure that I tightened all the other lines.

After doing all that, I coupled it back and tested it.
Now, the fan started rotating.
I took it back to the customers house to fix it back.
Luckily when I got there, there was light.
So, I fixed back the fan into the ceiling and tested it.
It worked.

This was the same thing that happened to my fan I bought in Nigeria, I didn't know it can be fixed so I sold it to the aboki people. Chai, if I had known, I wouldn't have sold it.
