The Diary Game: Taking My Phone To Engineers To Get A New Battery Fixed(28/04/2026)

My phone stopped charging all of a sudden and I left it for a while and charge again but this time I didn’t check on it if it’s will eventually charge until after an 1hour + I decided to go check and to my greatest surprise my phone open up itself and I could see the battery from within, apparently it’s the swollen battery that forced it to open. I showed hubby when he came back from work and he said I’ll have to take it to engineer to change the battery meanwhile the charging point is been shaking for some time now,I’ll have to change the charging points and the batteries including the back glass because the back glass is broken as well. I took it to the phone market to get it repaired.

Engineers shop in the phone market after my phone got repaired

Hubby describes another engineer he knows to me that can repair the phone just like the previous one. He says he’s shop is not as far as the previous engineer that helps us repair our phones. When I get to the market it’s just a a walk away from the main gate of the market to the engineers shop. When I got there the boss wasn’t around but he’s apprentice he’s there. I had to wait for his boss to come not for long the apprentice says I should bring it that he’ll repair, I refuse because I don’t want to him to tamper with my phone and add more issues to my phone. He’s boss came shortly after and he said I’ll buy battery, change charging port, buy back glass, buy a new cord and pouch because the former pouch is too hard and that why the back glass broke in a short while when the phone falls down with the back. He calculated everything and it’s amounted to 35,000naira.

I took hubbys ATM card to the market and immediately they withdraw the money from is account he called me to ask if I told him I’ll be withdrawing such amount and I said I didn’t know until they coupled the phone together. I’m about saying thank you when he hang up. I left the market and headed home. I was so hungry because I didn’t eat edible food in the morning before leaving the house because I didn’t know my fate until I got to the market they told me that the battery didn’t affect the screen it was then my soul came back because there’s so much on the phone that I don’t want to loose. Immediately I got home, I went to the kitchen to cook spaghetti and fry plantain and eat.
