"Do you have anything I can do to earn money online"....i asked my friend on Facebook. His reply was....."yeah i have something pleasurable for you, if you're good in writting then consider steemit as an option." I was so curious about the platform especially when he shown me what he had gained from the platform. With no time I asked for the platform Link immediately and that's how I began my journey here on steemit.

Would you like to the know this amazing steemian? Even after I joined, he guided in different ways as to know more about this platform. If you're so eager to know, then I suggest you follow this post to the end.

Tell us who has guided or taught you on the Steemit Platform?

That amazing and active Steemit is by name @mhizta from Nigeria. You know that joining a platform for the first time is so complicated and every thing seems to be difficult to understand. I reached out to @mhizta for help in other to have a full knowledge of how to navigate in this platform.

From his story, he doesn't have a particular steemian who guided him as he guided me but he explored the platform, reading and learning from different steemian, he also likes to share some of the mistakes and challenges he faced as a newcomer and how he nearly gave up.

I have learned a lot from this amazing user from using markdown to being consistent and hardworking in other to achieved my desired and goals here. What I like about him is that he always make time for me when I need him and also, watching my post and pointing out some of the mistakes I made and how to improve my post. Big shout out to @mhizta.

What have you learned from him/her about Steemit?

our chat on Facebook

Like I said earlier, I have learned a lot of things from him. He shared a story with me where he posted for 3 weeks with no support which made him lose interest in writting again. At the end of the month instead of him to power up, he withdraw the steem and did not Post for a month. But guess what? This will be surprise to you all, what did he do within the month?

He read people post, trying to improve his writting, trying to figure why his post is not supported, trying to build a relationship with other steemian by commenting on their post. After 1 month, he started writing and fortunately for him, he started getting support, winning contest, being selected as top Post of the week and luckily he was supported by our dear Steemcurator01.

Sharing this story with me makes me realize that in steemit, if am hardworking, determined and consistent, I can be successful. One of his favourite motivational words he always like to say is: "If I can do it, you can do it too." He made me understand that focusing mainly on vote on my post (support) will discourage me from the platform if I don't get the support, Instead, I should focus of writting quality content, engaging with other users and as well as voting. When it's time, the support will definitely come.

So I have forgotten about the habits of looking at my post whether it's voting or supporting or not before creating another post because I know that in a week, no matter how it is, I will surely get support in 1-2 post.

What are the perceived benefits, has your support increased?

I made a post after my verification post but it's seems I wasn't noticed at all because it's was $0.0, I felt discouraging especially when i looked at other user with $10-20 on their post. I express my self to him because he's so approachable and he pointed out some of the mistakes I did in the post like voting myself, not citing the image and using of markdowns. Okay, let me try another one... I did and luckily to me, I was supported by steemcurator09.

After that, I tried to Make my post quality in every aspect. Though am still learning and exploring the platform as a newcomer, I will keep on steeming, creating quality post and engaging. I understand the fact that vote are not guarantee on steemit but I appreciate everyone of you who supported me in one way or the other. And hopefully one day, I will get the same joy and happiness when our dear Steemcurator01 visit our post. It's will be the happiest day for me.

In conclusion, steemit is a big social media to explore and we keep learning every single day. I appreciate and say "Thank you to all" the mentors and everyone who supported in growing in this platform. Let us worked hard and be consistent, our labour will surely pay. Not getting support today doesn't mean your post in not quality or good enough, instead, keep steeming and one day you'll definitely gets the support.

I will like to invite @mhizta, @bossj23, @goodybest and @wilmer1988.

Great to know your friend introduced and tutor you on steemit. You see, it's one thing to be taught and another to apply the knowledge gained. Yours is completely different because, you learned and also apply them appropriately. Hence your improvement on the platform.

Good luck to you!

waw, am happy to hear this from you, i mean, its means a lot to me , thank you. You said something about being taught and applying the knowledge, you're right, I mean, what do we gain if we're taught to write a quality and our poatbis still quality. we gain nothing out of it. So therefore its necessary to also apply what we have learned or the knowledge to our writting or content. Thank you for the valuable contribution once again.

Your mentor was/is a God sent because he ensures that he put you through the process. Many people have access to some platform that they are earning from but they will never share it with anyone, but yours shared and also saw you through the beginner's stage. Thanking for sharing with us about your amazing and kind mentor. Keep exploring so you can mentor others too.
