The Diary Game || VISITING LOCATIONS AFFECTED BY THE HEAVY RAIN ON TUESDAY AND SPENDING ABOUT 5 HOURS TO SET EXAMINATION || 20/02/2026

Happy weekend, dear friends and members of the steemit community.

Yesterday was a moment for me to think about others in pain, especially those affected by natural disasters recently. I also took my time, suspending other engagements after returning from the visitation to set examinations for the school I am teaching. Read down for more details as I will keep it short as well.

I woke up disturbed by the situation of the country, the tough economy dealing with us, and natural disasters affecting even people who are struggling. About 4:30 am, I lost my sleep to thoughts until 5 am when the alarm rang for morning prayers. My wife rose up to see me sitting on the bed. We had the devotion, and I got myself ready to go out and visit the scene and the damages, mostly removing zinc and some completely pulling down kiosks, shops, and so on.

At the cause of the visitation, prayers were offered to those affected and little donations made to support the rise again. Business and living houses were affected badly.

Before 11 am, I was able to conclude my engagements outside the house, I returned to the house, barbed my hair, and set examinations for 6 classes.

AFTERNOON- SETTING EXAMINATIONS

I sat in one spot for over 5 hours, setting examinations for 6 different classes. The second will soon close as we are already in week 8 of the academic calendar going to week 9. The head teacher told all the teachers to wrap up the examination questions for typing it on time.

It was discipline, sacrificing other engagements, and even food and other comforts to ensure that I set the examinations. To God be the glory about 5pm, I was able to finish before I went out for a brief committee meeting.

I got a message reminding me of an emergency YOWICAN committee meeting at Brook Street, Uyo. It was impossible not to attend due to the aim of the meeting, I went and it was very brief before I came back home.

In the night, I noticed rat movement around our space, so I decided to put up a serious battle until I killed it. Some of you may know the havoc this type of rat can cause if it has a space in your house. It means your food is not safe and other things it can attack.

The rat took me rounds every corner, looking for ways to escape, I was ready for it. I sweat, hit my hand, but I didn't give up until the bush animal finally was sent to where it belongs.
