Developing a community in Steemit can be an interesting but also challenging task, interestingly we can be a container for many users in terms of publications. Challenges arise when more and more users feel comfortable being in a particular community, but then the human resources in the community are limited in responding to all forms of user publication.

We in the hot news community continue to strive to be the community of choice that has a positive impact on Steemit and also Steem, on the other hand, we also continue to encourage users to get the same. Several ways are used for community development, ranging from regular contests, and support for Steemit policies to verifying user posts in the Hot News community are the first steps to preventing publication abuse.

Currently, the Hot News Community is managed by a limited composition of developers, this is due to the dismissal, which was carried out as a consequence of the Power Down of the former MOD in the Hot News Community. Because of this, the Hot News community feels the need to recruit new moderators from among users who we assess can qualify as new mods, this is a long-term commitment that can have a good impact on the community.

We in the Hot News community are opening and looking for new mods that meet the terms and conditions, there is nothing we can offer in return, this is purely a community need for those who are willing to join. Here are our main conditions for hiring new moderators are :

1. The user is active and has a club of at least 5050.
2. Have a minimum of 1000 SP.
3. No power Down for the last 3 months.
4. No power Down for the next 6 months.
5. Delegation to the community as many as 500 SP, it should be noted this is not an obligation, but rather a commitment to grow together with the community.
6. No salary terms or promise get any voting support.
7. Willing to share the task of verifying posts in the community.
8. Can work together in developing community and policy from the Steemit team.

How to apply as a MOD in the Hot New community :

1. Create an application Post and post it in the Hot News Community.
2. Include the "Hot News moderator application" title and use the #hotnewsmod Tag on your posts.
3. The Post includes the content of your history on Steemit, why you are interested in joining the MOD, what you can promise as a long-term commitment to the community and whether are you willing to follow the rules and conditions and share your ideas with us.
4. Make your application post well.

The deadline for submitting Mod applications is open from December 10 to December 15, 2023, after which we will decide on eligible users and announce our selection.
