The Diary Game: GOOD FRIDAY WAS A BANGER, GUESS WHAT? [03-04-2026]

Hello everyone, and welcome back. This is @knarfb, and I'm glad to have you here for yet another diary session. Wishing you all peace and blessings.

Today being Good Friday, the Friday before Easter. Whereby, Christian annually observe the commemoration of the crucifixion of jesus Christ. A passion play/ drama is often carried out in the catholic church on this day.
And I was definitely going to attend one, l and my sister both left the house as early as 7am, cause the passion play starts by 7:30am.

We arrived at the church few minutes before the play began. Before entering the church premises we were both searched by the church security and were asked to drop our Power-Bank before entering. We comply with their rule and went inside.

And so the 'PASSION DRAMA" started the acting and the drama was very intense and okay.

This was when jesus was brought before the elders to be judged in the play. Before placing the thorn on his head the soldiers had flogged him mercilessly.

At this part Jesus was seen carrying his cross as the soilder dealt with him mercilessly.

Jesus fell three 3 times as written in the station of the cross. Whereby they was also falling in the acting. The falling was intense l actually began to pity the guy who cosplay "Jesus Christ " in the drama. I just can't imagine myself in his position. The flogging, and the beating were on another level.

Jesus was crucified at this scene as seen in the image above. They also acted the role of the two thieves beside Jesus Christ. This scene was so powerful some old women in the church began to cry remembering the sacrifice our saviour did for us. The drama was incredible and touching in the soul. This was the last scene of the drama after a few prayer we ended the drama and everyone departed. From there I remembered l was to be in shop today, so I picked up my power bank and food and proceeded to the shop. From church to shop isn't far. It was 15 minutes walk from both sides.
I arrived at the shop around 9:53am and that where the boring part of my day started. After charging my power bank and other devices at my friend's house I returned to the shop to stay with the boys. We sat outside the shop talking and discussing. The sales boys where teaching me few languages. By 1:40 they all left me at the shop to go and pray. They are all Muslim. The 3 of them went to pray and I sat in shop alone waiting till they get back. After some minutes spent praying they came back and I was relieved small. I went to the back of the shop and slept for a while. When l woke up l went to retrieve my appliances from where I plugged them earlier.

Around 7pm we closed for the day. I returned back home. When l got home l met my sister outside talking with friends. I greeted her and went inside to look for what to eat. I prepared yam for us.

I cooked and ate first before she came inside and ate while eating they brought light she went out to fetch water while I washed plate. When she was done with both picked beans together.

After the night work I told her goodnight and went to write for steemit before going to bed.

Before sleeping I thought about the passion drama once more and smiled. I guessed l really liked the play. So this is where we draw the curtains for the day.

It's going to be a bye from here. Till my next diary, guys, do well to take care of yourselves and stay safe out there. Much love from me to you all.

THANKS FOR READING TO THIS POINT.

What beautiful traditions! Could you elaborate on the meaning of that particular ritual you mentioned?
