The Diary Game: Today In Borno state, what a day [17-03-2026]

" Today was a bit weird in my own aspect, l woke up earlier today than usual. First thing I did was to burn dustbin (trash).

When l was done burning the trash, I hurriedly prepared to go to shop. As it was written in my previous post am currently in Borno and every Nigerian must have heard what happened in Borno state. The state got attacked last night and 3 explosive was dropped at three different locations in the state. It was actually a cold night for everyone, we lost a good number of people from the explosion and many are being hospitalised right now. With what happened the previous night, I expected the government to declare lockdown/sit-at-home today but nothing happened. I went out and was shocked to see that people were still roaming around the street. Shop's were being opened sef. The " thing shocked me " well I guessed, after growing up in Maiduguri everyone must have adapted to situation like this already. I got to my dad shop early and joined him at sales Together with his sales boys. Despite the whole thing we thank GOD for the market he brought for us today. Though I really was shocked on how the state moved on, as if nothing had happened last night. Well the good part is that a curfew was declared by 4pm. Everyone was supposed to close his/her shop between 4-5pm this was done for security purposes. That how everyone at Market closed their shops early and went home including ours.

We headed home as soon as possible, immediately l got home I slept because of tiredness I felt from working at the shop today. Woke up by 10:21pm. Then remembered l hadn't written about my day yet. Which I quickly grabbed my phone and started. Here I am right now writing.
I pray lord protection in my life and my family, as we are heading out to our daily activities and work. May we not encounter bad news and my bad news not encounter us also. Through Christ our lord.
