Steemit Engagement Challenge S3-W1|All About My Job : Admin In Steemkids community, Greeter In Newcomers community And Country Representative For Nigeria
Hello dear community, it is my pleasure to take part in this contest. It is all about my Job. Job? Yes, that is the contest topic.
A job can be anything that one finds to do which is paid for or anything buying and selling that one gets profit from which takes greater part of ones time and efforts and from where one earns a living. Well, it all depends on the angle of one is coming from. Job can be teaching, farming, healthcare workers and so on and so forth.
As for my job, I have done several jobs in the past that earned me a living from the pay I got but I will talk about my current job.
I currently do not have any formal employment. But I am also happily doing a job that is helping me to care for my needs to some extent. I am a steemian who blogs for a living, I am an admin and founder of steemkids community, I am a greeter/curator in newcomers community, and I am a country representative for Nigeria. These activities take most of my time and they represent my current job. You may like to know the activities I carry out daily under these capacities. Please , lete take you on a tour.
What are your daily tasks at your place of work or your daily activities?
As An Admin In Steemkids community
An Admin is more like the owner of a company that is saddled with the responsibilities of overseeing the goings on of the activities in the community and the wellbeing of the community is in her palm. I for my part wake up to keep an eye in steemkids community, to check if publications are reviewed by the MODs, to respond to questions about the community both in steemit and in our other social media handles like telegram, I so make updates on some of our projects, verify kids who are within the age bracket, upvote publications whenever the official account of the community recharges to full and above all, coordinate the activities of the moderators.
The job is enormous but I do it with joy because I love what I am doing. The interest of the community is at my heart as a community for kids and I ensure that everyone is treated fairly.
As A Greeter/Curator In Newcomers Community
Here, I am saddled with the responsibilities of reviewing achievement posts by the newcomers on a daily basis, I check if the publications follow all rules, I check for plagiarism, I check for compliance with the set rules and if all the are followed, I proceed to verify the achievement post, give the appropriate labels, then check for activeness, for club status and for age and then curate with steemcurator03 if in order. At the end of each week, I publish a report of my activities.
As Country Representative For Nigeria
As a country representative for Nigeria, my duty is to guide users from my country Nigeria and help them find their way around steemit. On a daily basis, I receive a lot of questions on my dm. I try as much as possible to give directions as requested. I so recruit and guide newbies from my country. I ensure that I support them on a daily basis with upvotes. I also make weekly reports of my activities as required by the steemit team.
I also support all the projects by the steemit team to encourage users from my country to join suit. Like the club initiative, I am in club75; the burnsteem, though not compulsory but I support it from time to time; and so many others.
To show my passion for this post, I go out of my way to print t-shirts, run promotional campaigns and I even have a steemit office in my city where users come around for their training and guidance.
To help guide them well, I have assisted in creating Steem4Nigeria community where these users can have a space and receive supports. When possible, I also join in reviewing publications made in that community to ensure that things go as planned.
What is the biggest obstacle you have ever experienced while doing this activity?
Health is the greatest obstacle that I have had. Yes, you will agree with me that all these activities require good health and most times I will like to do more and respond to more and more questions but my heath fails most of the time.
For insurance, I have had to deal with eye surgery, Osteoarthritis, malaria and even that of my kids, @fortwis09 who has suffered from consistent flow of menstrual circle for more than 3 months now.
All these have been very disheartening and disturbing and they are sapping me of my earnings and emotional balance. But all the same, I am coming off victorious. Life itself is filled with troubles but the Almighty has always been faithful.
What is your greatest hope in the future related to your activities?
My greatest hope is that there is always a light at the end of every Tunnel. All my health challenges and that of my children are all coming to an end because adequate treatments have been administered. My job has a brighter future and things will always improve no matter how bad it is.
I am enjoying my job and because it gives me joy, that is my greatest hope. Nothing compared to when you are enjoying what you are doing .
I have a target to keep building my steempower to become an orca soon. I also want to keep building the steempower of steemkidss to become self sustained as a community.
As a country representative, my hope is to keep guiding the users and help them enjoy their journey the way I am enjoying it.
I have the hope to continue being active in steemit.
Conclusion
I am glad to have taken part in this contest about my job.
I have been able to let you know the activities I carry out on a daily basis as a full time steemian.
My greatest challenge and my greatest hope have been included too.
I am such a person that loves putting her best in whatever my hand finds to do and try as much as possible to find joy in it no matter what happens.
Thanks to you all for reading through. I hereby invite @benton3, @eliany and @event-horizon to take part. See you all in season 3 week #2.
