The Diary game 23-02-2026 Spending Ramadan Guiding Young Qur’an Learners.

Sometimes I wonder, who is really learning here, the children, or me?

Hi, i am @quiteink or you can call me rizka, 23 years old woman with a lot of thing hold in her brain. That is why she need a little writing here.

As a Muslim, its already Ramadhan month which is i have to fast for like 30 days in a row. But not only that i decide to join some activity in ramadhan that called "Rumah Tahfiz Ramadhan" or "Tahfiz Ramadhan House" the place for children who want to memorizing Alquran in their day during ramadhan. Well, its really familiar activity in our place you can find this kind of activity at several schools in our place. And often, this activity starts in the morning, ours starts at 09.00 AM and ends at 11.15 AM.

The children who join this activity came from very different ages, bunch of them is elementary students and some small part are kids in early childhood just like 4 or 5 years old. Because if that different level of age, the teachers who teach are also different, we teach in a group, one group have or handle 7-10 students which make us as a teacher can manage a group easily because there are not really hectic and crowded.

I personally teach young student. They just around 5 till 8 years old. That thing make me struggle a little because i do not have much experiences handling young student.

Before reading the Qur’an, most children in Indonesia begin with Iqra, a step-by-step book designed to help them recognise and pronounce Arabic letters correctly.

At 10.00 AM. we stop our activity a while, take a Wudhu (ablution) is the ritual washing Muslims perform before prayer. We want to pray Dhuha, one of the Sunnah Player.
I found it really good activity, we here not only learn about how to read Alquran but also learn how to take wudhu and prayer, this things is very basic thing that should be taught to young children in our religion. And that is why the children not the only one who learn, we as a teacher also learn from that.

After prayer, we back to our own group to continue the activity, as a someone who teach kids i have to prepare a lot of way to make them feel excited every single day, its also my challenging to be done. Preparing a lot of approach so they want to read and learn at the same time. That is why sometime i bring the game like snake and ladder so they not bored in the middle of activity.

Sound hard but to be honest i really enjoy activity, being around children always make my day, learning how they catch what i said, watching how they express their feeling without doubt (which is its really hard for me now) its just make me feel alive.

And yeah that is how i will spend my Ramadhan this year and i really glad for that, i always try to give the best activity for them so they will always want lo learn and read Alquran.
