Greetings, Steemean friends

Dear friends, admins, and all moderators of this beloved community. May we always be under His protection!

The floods that struck our beloved province of Aceh in November 2025 left a lot of trauma and damage for the entire community, especially children. It was as if we were wondering if education would ever resume, given the enormity of this disaster.

Several months have passed, and school activities, especially in our sub-district of Nisam, have begun to resume, although not as normal as before the disaster. However, given the extensive damage caused by the floods, we have focused on working together to clean classrooms, school equipment, and textbooks.

Three months after the disaster, it seemed as if our school activities were solely focused on healing the children from their trauma and reorganizing the school infrastructure so they could be used again.

As the final days of school approached after the flood, teaching and learning had not yet fully returned to normal. Shortly thereafter, school activities were again suspended to welcome the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan.

As stipulated in the education law in our province of Aceh, teaching and learning activities in schools during Ramadan do not focus on general education, but rather emphasize religious instruction and moral values.

School activities are also limited to two weeks during Ramadan. This means that the first week of Ramadan is the Ramadan break, and the last week is the Eid al-Fitr break.

However, in the final days of school, welcoming Ramadan, all of our teachers at our school took a study tour around our area, simply to alleviate some of the post-disaster trauma and to enjoy some time together before Ramadan arrives.

Generally speaking, for the past few months, teaching and learning activities at school have not been running as usual due to the aftermath of the disaster and the Ramadan break. Hopefully, after Ramadan, teaching and learning activities at school will resume as normal.

Friends, that concludes my presentation for today. I sincerely hope for your suggestions and comments. I apologize for any errors in this post. Wassalam.

Thank you very much brother admin for support

This natural disaster called flood has over the years cause harm to many in different parts of the world, mostly those at the riverine areas.

The government needs to be intentionally about flood control, meaning that town planning should go beyond cities, and touch the rural areas to ensuring that people doesn't build houses on the erosion track because it's from there it starts to this devastated situation.

I wish you guys all the best.
