The Interview Showcase #120: Exclusive Talk with the Interview Showcase Host

in Hot News Community6 days ago (edited)

Hello people of Steem and Steemit,

It's a new week, welcome to the 120th edition of “The interview showcase...." and my 44th show for 2024.

If you are new to this page, this lifestyle program has many educational values. A weekly interview of users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.

It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steem and Steemit itself.

I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.

They also share some tips that can help other users understand the blockchain and correctly use it. Sometimes they seek valuable suggestions here to help them solve some of their challenges.

On this week's show, the Interview showcase host @ubongudofot is on the hot seat! Guess what? We (@adylinah ,@alexanderpeace , @soulfuldreamer , @ratelmay and anonymous Mr.Steem) turn the tables as our regular host, @ubongudofot, takes the hot seat as our special guest. So let's give him a warm welcome......

Mr. Steem
: Hi there, welcome to the interview showcase. Who are you? Tell us anything and everything you’d like us to know about you!

🔶Ubongudofot: Hi, thank you for giving me the opportunity to be here. My name is Ubong Udofot from Nigeria. I am a nobody who is trying to make life more fun because I recognize how short it is. I always keep my distance from unnecessary glitz in my real life and online life and I love peace of mind.

I love working smart and always give preference to honest people in everything. I believe in keeping confidentiality at a high esteem because confidentiality is paramount to me. And I'll never disclose sensitive information, no matter the circumstances and I'll rather die with it without disclosing.

Mr. Steem
: How old are you on Steem - and how will you describe your experience on Steem blockchain since you ?

🔶Ubongudofot: I am just 3 years and 6 months old and the experience has been great. It comes with it's own challenges but with a lot of lessons. And during this process, I've made a lot of friends and I've also discovered a lot of people who are only close to you for their gains.

Mr. Steem
: How did you discover Steem?

🔶Ubongudofot: I was introduced into Steemit in May 2021 by my sister, @eliany, who has been giving her best since she joined, infact, that was my mentor. Can you believe that....

Mr. Steem
: What’s the best advice you have ever gotten?

🔶Ubongudofot: 1.Grudges don't pay bills. 2.Face one thing with your life and focus on it. 3. If it cost your peace of mind, ignore it.

Mr. Steem
: What are your long-term goals for Steem Solar and Electricals, and how do you envision the company evolving over the next decade?

🔶Ubongudofot: In the next 10 years, I envision Steem Solar and Electricals becoming a leading provider of renewable energy solutions across not just in Nigeria but Africa as a whole. I'll like to expand my product offerings, invest in research and development - this might warrant visiting other countries for training, and strengthen my company's presence through strategic partnerships..

Mr. Steem
: How old is the interview Showcase?

Ubongudofot: This week's edition of the Interview showcase is the 120th edition, which means 120 weeks. If you divide that by 52(weeks), you should have the answer you are looking for.

Mr. Steem
: What's you current trending music?

Ubongudofot:

Ubongudofot
: Hey mate, will you ever come to my show?

Mr.Steem: Hopefully, someday. I am reading, I am watching and I am listerning to the minds of users through your show. I love it!.

Adylinah
: What is the motivation /inspiration behind your weekly interview showcase?

🔶Ubongudofot: I am passionate about sharing some inspiring stories and expertise from diverse individuals from different backgrounds and cultures. My motivation comes from connecting people, fostering growth, and creating a platform for meaningful conversations. as it should be.

Adylinah
: Do you have any plan of taking this show to the next level someday like more of hosting a TV show for Steemit interview showcase or maybe a YouTube channel?

🔶Ubongudofot: Yes, I envision expanding to video formats like YouTube or TV, potentially partnering with influencers locally and abroad. This would amplify the show's reach and impact to the community. Infact, I already started that a year ago..., can you remember Steem TV..? Though I stopped halfway due to some challenges. But I'm planning to come up with something very special and unique. I can't say much about this at the moment until I am done with the ongoing arrangements.

Adylinah
: What are your greatest challenges in this weekly interview showcase?

🔶Ubongudofot: Where do I start from...? There are a lot of them. Balancing time zones, language barrier, coordinating schedules, and ensuring engaging conversations are my biggest challenges. Sometimes, lack of feedbacks from my potential guests. Some potential guest, don't even respond, some ignored my messages. But I get used to it..

Adylinah
: What are your coping mechanisms for combining both Steemit and your physical business?

🔶Ubongudofot: I would say - Discipline, prioritization, and effective time management allow me to navigate both worlds, I don't spend time on unnecessary things. I work based on my schedule, and I am so discipline on that. I also set boundaries and delegate tasks when necessary..

Alexanderpeace
: Have you ever gotten to a point where you were discouraged joggling steemit and your physical work?

🔶Ubongudofot: If I say No, then I'm lying. So, I'll say yes. And it was during the initial stages, but I persevered, recognizing the value of both pursuits at the back of my mind.

Alexanderpeace
: If yes, how did you bounce back, if no, what’s your secret to always being motivated?

🔶Ubongudofot: When I remembered the reason that prompted me to start it initially, it becomes a sort of motivation to keep improving and keep me going. I seek support and suggestions from friends, and also celebrate my small wins. All these has helped me regain momentum.

Ratelmay
: * I know you to be a very busy person in real life - off chain, how do you cope with keeping up with all the activities on Steem blockchain?*

🔶Ubongudofot: Steem is my online community. And I'm up to date with almost 80% of activities in the blog every single day 🙂. I allocate specific times for Steem activities, even though most times I violet this rule by giving it all the time, my real friends here can testify when I sleep in a day 😂.However, I stay updated through various channels and mediums(please do not ask me the channel and medium - that's confidential), and participate in relevant growth conversations..

Ratelmay
: All the charities you have done here in Uyo in public schools which I have seen them, are you being paid for them and what is your motive of doing them?

🔶Ubongudofot: Giving back to my community, particularly in education, is a personal passion and decision. I'm not paid for these efforts, my reward comes from seeing positive impact. I hope to build many solar PVs in schools here in Nigeria and across Africa as a whole.. Access to this facilities enable schools to provide quality education, enhancing learning experiences.

Ratelmay
: How can I grow to become like you?

🔶Ubongudofot: *** I would say be curious about everything, the more hobbies and activities you engage yourself, the more new ideas you'd have. Be a keen observer and pay attention to every detail of life, you'd definitely capture ideas to improve yourself. Realize and accept your limitations it'd help you work on yourself too. Surround yourself with positive minds and avoid unnecessary fight. Lastly be consistent in what you do and accept feedbacks weather positive or negative.***

Soulfuldreamer
: What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever googled?

🔶Ubongudofot: One day I sat and observed the fish swimming in the water and guess what thought came to my head, I wondered if they ever get thirsty since they are always in the water 😂 Boom, I googled "Do fish get thirsty?" Don't expect that answer from me, go Google yourself. Ridiculous right?.😂

Soulfuldreamer
: What’s the weirdest food combination you actually like?

🔶Ubongudofot: Pineapple on pizza 😂Weird right? I enjoy the sweet and savory mix of pineapple with or on pizza.

Salted watermelon 😂 - One would say it's crazy but yes sprinkling a bit of salt definitely enhances watermelon sweetness. It's a personal preference though😊.

Soulfuldreamer
: If you could have a dream collaboration with any Steemit user, who would it be and why?

🔶Ubongudofot: Any user with positive mind of growth.

Interviewers

Thank you so much. That's the essence of the Interview showcase 😊

Greta show sir. Thank you for throwing light on all those questions and on how you were able to overcome your times of discouragement.

I will keep pushing because obviously consistency pays.

Wow, Mr. Steem conducted a really good interview. He seems like a pro ;)

Thank you Mr. Steem for including my questionnaire...

Ubongudofot: Pineapple on pizza 😂Weird right? I enjoy the sweet and savory mix of pineapple with or on pizza.

Salted watermelon 😂 - One would say it's crazy but yes sprinkling a bit of salt definitely enhances watermelon sweetness. It's a personal preference though😊.

Not at all weird. It's quite common here. Both the combinations. Although I don't prefer them personally. But pineapple on pizzas is a common site in bakeries here.

Well you dodged this one:

Soulfuldreamer: If you could have a dream collaboration with any Steemit user, who would it be and why?
🔶Ubongudofot: Any user with positive mind of growth.

But never mind.

It was good to know (more) about you. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations for maintaining the streak of this interview showcase.

Oh, I didn't even know, this is actually a recognised food somewhere in the world. That's nice...

But this combination is so strange.., and if I take this, I could live in the toilet for hours..

Thank you Mr. Steem for including my questionnaire...

Mr.Steem has seen your comment and also appreciate. He is presently working on good contents in the blog and is busy at the moment.
