The Interview Showcase #24 - Exclusive Talk With Ghana Country Representative/ old time steemian

in Hot News Community2 years ago (edited)

Hi Folks,

It's The Interview Showcase!!!. with your one and only host ubongudofot...This is the 24th Edition of “The interview Showcase”.

A lifestyle program that comes with many educational values. A weekly interview of top users/users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth. It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steemit itself.

I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and I have a chat/call with top Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.

They also share some tips that are able to help other users to understand the blockchain and make use of it in the correct way. Sometimes they seek some valuable suggestions here which can help them solve some of their challenges.

Ghanaians steemians and the Ghana community are struggling after the fall of their first country's community due to the power down of their asset initiated by the former Admins.

However, there are just a few of them that are still remaining active on the blog struggling to still represent their country, but this time with their New country's community known as AMAZING GHANA.

I put a call across to their country Representative @juzkid who is also the admin of the new Ghana community. The question now is why did they create a new community..? why are users leaving the platform over there, what is their aim now..? please follow along as I interviewed @juzkid.

Despite late hours and distance, we talked as if we have met before ...

Ubongudofot
: Hello Juzkid it's nice to have you on my Interview Showcase today, thank you for connecting all the way from Ghana. Can you describe yourself to my audience?

🔶Juzkid: Greetings to all and sundry. I must say I am very glad to be here in this interview session. I am @juzkid on the blockchain and the Country Representative of Ghana. Ghana greets each one of you across the steemit globe.

Ubongudofot
:How long have you been here in the blog?

🔶Juzkid: I joined steemit in January 2018.

Ubongudofot
: How will you describe your initial experience here in the blog?

🔶Juzkid: It was such a wonderful experience. Personally, I am a writer with passion and I joined steemit in order to get a place to keep my records for reference in the future and it has been very awesome. I got to also read and enjoy the experiences of others across the world as well. It was a blessing to also see that people get rewarded for their efforts. But votes were not forthcoming as expected at the initial stages. In summary, the experience has been awesome.

Ubongudofot
:What has been your biggest achievement on steemit?

🔶Juzkid: Such a big question! I value each day on the blockchain as awesome. Particularly when my posts are read by a lot of steemians. The biggest of all has been my current role as a country rep.

Ubongudofot
: Just last month, your country community was powered down after users built it up with their content beneficiaries, what happened?

🔶Juzkid: This came as a shock to most Ghanaian steemians. This is because they contributed to the growth of the account as well and the power-down initiators never asked for their approval. I wrote a post about this to tell a lot concerning this act of power down.

The old reps at their own discretion thought they worked for every steem in the Steem Ghana account. Upon other inquiries, I got to know that another reason for the power down was because the account did get votes and the community lacked support but that I think wasn't the actual motive. The Old Country Representatives had every key to the account so they power down with their own will. The look of things suggested that they wanted to collapse steemit in Ghana.

Ubongudofot
: I also find out you and a few users opened a New community for the country, do you think users will trust this?...? what have you put in place to gain users trust again?

🔶Juzkid: This is where the problem is. After the power down I informed the Steemit team about the act when it started. I together with @sarkodieeric1 @kookd @elliamor1 came together to build steemit in Ghana again. so that, steemit in Ghana wouldn't die away.

The community, Amazing Ghana emerged due to some uncalled-for acts on the Steem Ghana platform. Fast forward, Most Ghanaian steemians were heartbroken. You know, there was a whole lot of misunderstanding concerning people who received votes on the platform and were not contributing anything to help the progress of the platform.

Members are not moved by the new Community, so they don't want to write. This is because they see that there isn't any support. Some leaders who think otherwise, currently are powering down. They think they themselves don't have enough support to give to people they bring on. Personally, I get so distracted when members don't get support. You know we rise by helping others. There can't be any rise when your members are not rising. Most Ghanaian steemians have moved to different communities. Add to, plagiarism made us lose the booming account, and this time I personally run the checks so the community is trusted and credible.

Ubongudofot
: Will you like the multi-signature wallet to be implemented in community accounts?

🔶Juzkid: It isn't bad anyway. Only if the account can be controlled by credible hands. That as well is a sign of unity also.

Ubongudofot
: How have you Contributed to steem's growth in your country?

🔶Juzkid: Since I joined steemit, my frequent effort to support the club initiatives has gone a long way and it is on top. I haven't had a single power down since I joined steemit. I can say that I was part of those who urged other steemians to adopt frequent power-ups on the platform. Also, since the efforts started declining, I have tried to help members and guide them on their Achievement1 posts and bring the old steemians back.

I believe that the old steemians can be a good promo for newbies to rise. Again, I joined hands to create the Amazing Ghana community to do away with the mindset of "steemit is about who you know". I have also worked with the steemcor07 community curation team which worked effectively for two months and was led by @ashkhan.

Ubongudofot
: Amazing Ghana community is much of diary game activities, do you think other publications can be added to the community to attract more readers?

🔶Juzkid: Other publications are accommodated. It was shared clearly in the Introductory Post months ago. We wish to enjoy the experiences of people across the world. There aren't restrictions provided it is friendly to consume by the minds of the audience.

Ubongudofot
: Few times, I have noticed that the publication "my town in 10 pics" is published in your country community, but not in a right way. What have you done about this?

🔶Juzkid: Members feel that support is what we need and after several persuasion, for them to come back, one can not criticize their content a lot. We only urge them to write on with just a few corrections. But checks can be done on plagiarism and clubs only.

Ubongudofot
: You seem to have been so serious in the platform, what advice will you tell other Users in your country to make such great progress?

🔶Juzkid: I have the philosophy that if we must not always concentrate on the steem, but how to impact as well and work hard, we can go far. I started as nobody but see today. I think if we write well and comply with initiatives, what we need will come.

Juzkid relaxing in class after teaching ...

Ubongudofot
: Tell us about your profession and how can you use that in the blog.

🔶Juzkid: I am a teacher of English by profession at Senior High School. I have great taste for good content and anytime I write, I always want to impact people positively. I am versatile and with that, I write well for people to enjoy. I also share a lot about the school environment on the blog.

Ubongudofot
: How do you balance your daily activities while still carrying out your duties as Country Rep and Moderator in your country?

🔶Juzkid: Very tedious, but with passion we work through it. I always try to be online to serve the few who have posted on the platform in order to urge them with the vote and comments I give them. Sometimes, even when I am too tired, I must visit the platform by all means, because my vote is the steem I use to support members.

Ubongudofot
: which user will you like me to interview in my show and why?

🔶Juzkid: This is a big question for me! Everyone who contributes well here can make an impact. But I think with Ghana, other steemians like @sarkodieeric1 and @elliamor1 can share something about Ghana.

Ubongudofot
:Have you voted for pennsif.witness yet? And your community?

🔶Juzkid: I saw a post a few days ago about that and I attended to it by voting but will make sure my community also grants that support trust me.

Ubongudofot
:What do you like doing in your leisure?

🔶Juzkid: I always like to walk around to enjoy some scenery, play football and read a lot as well, but my current schedule does not permit me to do some of these things again.

Ubongudofot
: Which Ghana music will you like to listen to on repeat?

🔶Juzkid: Highlife and afrobeats

Ubongudofot
: What can you say about the Interview Showcase, do you think it is interesting and should be continued?

🔶Juzkid: Since there aren't enough mediums to channel complaints, this serves a good purpose. It is well-found and wonderful., I love it.

Ubongudofot
: What message or request will you like to pass to the steemit team?

🔶Juzkid: I would like to kindly crave the indulgence of the Steemit Team to remember steemit in Ghana again in their plans. We need the booming support again and the steemit team support on our members. Ghanaian steemit has helped many communities existing today to survive. In these times, we need their help and support the most to do away with the pain in the heart of some steemians over here. Steemit in Ghana shouldn't die, please help us.

Ubongudofot
: Thank you very much for expressing yourself, I am sure the team will read your message.

Ubongudofot
: By the way, I am running a Solar Project in Nigeria sponsored by @pennsif and I am doing fundraising now, do you think you can support that?

🔶Juzkid: Yes, I like good things and I will support them. In fact, I have set one of my active publication rewards to smilenigeria to support this project.

Ubongudofot
: Thank you for that..

Ubongudofot
: Thank you so much Juzkid for honoring my Invitation, I hope to have you again on my show in the future.

Please let's support Juzkid and the few ones that remain in Ghana, and you can give them suggestions too, it will all be appreciated, thank you all.

About Me

Glad to be here. Steemit is a home for us all. I big thank you to your channel that paved way for the steemit platform to hear from me. Ghana steemit was a home that a lot of communities came out from. We have a lot of issues that made the Ghanaian steemit weak and declined with activeness. I must say that most committed steemians were dissatisfied with how things were going on. Assuming office as a country representative, the issues were already there and the whole members were leaving and alot because of fury, power down. You know steemit frowns against power down so most of these steemians felt they can't write again and thought they had to leave. Upon the series of persuasions for them to rejoin, none of them seems to work due to the fact that they were already furious. I personally think that things can work again if the support comes back. It is such a pain to see that great steemians who could help rise the steemit platform in Ghana losing passion. We must all rise to help others who are falling come back again. I am trying here. Due to some power downs recently we had to take some administrators in the Amazing Ghana community off. Even with the newbies who were growing up here, upon hearing the issues here have stopped steeming. I know that the cries will be heard. Thank you for your time @ubongudofot

I can understand your point...and i can only imagine the effort you have put so far to set this right.

Hopefully things would be better and like they use to say...? Better days ahead..!

We really appreciate your message, it is heartbreaking to see our fellow steemians from ghana not posting again. And they are all cause by what some past leaders has done on steemit. We have lost our image on steemit. But I think by this post things will change again. Bringing back some of the steemains from ghana to post again is not an easy tasks since most of the steemains think that those who will help them has stopped and there will be no support for them anymore. I am really happy for this post. Thanks for sharing.

Hello @sarkodieeric1, thank you for your comment. Yeah, it's sad that things are not going too well among the Ghanaian steemians. But maybe a little hardwork is needed from each one over there in other to stand again.

Hopefully, the steemit team or other users might provide some suggestions / tips for you all which might be of great benefit for a proper growth, a sustainable one.

Thanks for your support Bro @irawandedy.

It is unfortunate that this happened to our beloved community on the blockchain. I would not have suspected it some few months ago if someone had told me the community account will be powered down. It definitely came us a surprise to me and i have no doubt that it was to most Ghanaian steemians as well. The way things happened, no body, could have prevented it.

However, what has happened has happened and i doubt if we can bring back that same community. This is some of the reasons why i will suggest all Ghanaian steemians should not sleep. They should come on board for us to rebuild and bring back the image and love for the Ghanaian community through @amazing-ghana. It is still the same Ghanaian community.

Only Ghanaians can not do this alone, it means we definitely need individuals and lovers of the blockchain to keep sharing content in that community for the love to come back. We will also need help of the curators to be able to gain the love back. Not forgetting @HotNewCommunity for the great and love.

Let's rebuild the love Ghanaians have for the blockchain.
Together we build!!!
