Reviewing the quality of living in a country with severe inflation

Hey Everyone!
I have dedicated this blog to review what it is like living in the country with the second-highest inflation rates, Lebanon.

Lebanon is a small country in the middle east that has been facing very strong inflation rates for about 8 months now. In short, the whole crisis is due to corrupt politicians that have completely destroyed the country and its economy. Within a short period of time, the value of the Lebanese lira changed from 1,500 L.L per dollar to 15,000 L.L per dollar, making it extremely hard to live here.

Due to this ongoing crisis, more than 55% of the whole population is living in poverty. They can't afford to buy basic food necessities due to the increase in prices of basic products such as milk or beans. I have literally witnessed people trying to burn themselves because they can't afford to feed themselves and their families. I have also witnessed my family business hit all-time lows, which has been extremely demotivating and hard for me. The people of Lebanon have always been known to being tough and facing many hurdles, but this one might just be too BIG! Although the Lebanese people have tried to face these corrupt politicians with a crazy revolution that began in 2019, that only made it harder as the price of the dollar was indirectly affected by these movements!

Despite all of the above, we as Lebanese will never lose hope! Hopefully, we manage to get through these extremely hard times and return to having a decent quality of life, which should be a right for every human being. I hope you enjoyed my blog! Thank you!
