The Journey So Far (Poem)
The journey so far
Litters of papers on the streets of the area,
One surviving tooth hanging in grandpa's mouth,
Visions of tomorrow clearer that the present,
Wrinkled fingers struck by drought and cold.
Traces of scars from sunrise till sunset,
And applauds of goals living in the opponent's net,
Awaiting tomorrow with your fulfilled test paper,
One, two, three, four, five, you slowly climb down the ladder.
Ambitious and serious with goals piled in the head,
Having a bright future, it's all in the head,
The struggle may be generous, probability is all you know,
But while it lasts, you keep keeping the banners up.
Infancy plus innocence, the sprout of a new heart,
With ten billion questions following from behind;
The laughter, the laughter, the laughter, the laughter,
Everything begins with a tip of innocence.
Unlike you witnessed it at your first aboard,
This aisle is filled up with wonders unnumbered;
Today, the perfect opposite of tomorrow,
Life is in phases, we all have to strive.
