MY DUSTY MANUSCRIPT : Episode 1

This is us, it's who we are. We have an identity yet we are faceless, we have a reputation yet we are voiceless. A directionless focus, a retarded certainty”. Boma thought to herself as she sat on the squeaky chair at the balcony of their apartment. A tyranny so strong the subjects laid down their wills along with their lives. Her thoughts swayed from scene to scene as she stared at the compound she had seen many times before but today it was different. The more she looked the stranger it looked, the more she stared , the less she saw. It was very funny how her once familiar habitat had started looking as though it was her very first glance.

My name is Rukewve ,I love to imagine, I can literally think up a storm. Boma is my creation I made her. Shes tall, intelligent, outspoken and ambitious. There are days when I doubt which of us is real and which is the creation. When I look in the mirror I see a different person but as I gaze into the rhythms of my soul Boma emerges. Rukewve on the other hand is encapsulated in her thoughts, her fears, her frail voice. On the bright side I’m a song writer and just as you’re thinking I write for myself alone. When I was little I wrote a song about my mother, it's still my favorite. People say we are cursed because my mum died in her room but I'm sure that’s not how the story went. I am currently trying to gain admission in UNIJOS I just want to go far away and see what awaits me on the outside. My aunt constantly calls me a mad girl and I look at her in surprise because she possesses more traits of lunacy than I ever can.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share my work here with this awesome community. I and my laptop create magic that would keep you glued to your screen. I love to write fiction because I think reality is boring. My aim to bring you into my world, my colorful world. My dusty manuscript continues as Rukevwe's life evolves and unfolds.
