The terrorist, the General and the codes

MI6 agent Fisher slowly crawl towards what seemed like the exit of the warehouse him and his six men team had invaded thirteen minutes ago. He could barely hear a thing as the result of the explosion went off few seconds ago. Fisher staggered to his feet before pointing his rifle forward. He knew the explosion had killed a lot of the terrorist but there could still be more in the building so he had to be on guard and find the quickest way out of here. If the terrorist were still alive, then they would be coming at him with full force because he had what they wanted, the codes.

Alan Fisher along with six of his best men had been briefed early that morning about a top priority mission. The terrorist organization known as Zaza had somehow gotten their hands on some very important codes that belonged to the British government.

Fisher and his team had been sent to go confirm if they indeed had the codes and then steal it if they did. The British military had no jurisdiction where the Zaza terrorist operate so they had ordered Fisher and his men to make the mission as stealth as possible.

Fisher and his men had arrived at the location at exactly 0300 military time and strangely as it seemed, there had not been any guard on site. They had easily infiltrated the building and had confirmed to their superiors that the codes were indeed in the possession of the terrorist.

Everything about the mission seemed to be going as planned until it was time for them to steal the codes and that was when all hell let loose. To fisher, it was as if the terrorist knew all along that they were coming and had allowed them to confirm the codes so that they could tell their superiors, making their superiors take whatever threat from them serious.

Fisher and his men had fought back but it was obvious to them that they were outnumbered, so Fisher had taken the codes and ran like hell. The rest of his men and stood back to fight, giving him enough time to run but they couldn’t hold them for long so Fisher was apprehended before he could escape.

“Have you thought about how we came across the codes, you think we stole it?” One of the terrorist asked Fisher who couldn’t mutter a word. He had been beaten to a pulp.

“One of your Generals handed it to us, the same General who sent you on this mission.” The terrorist continued. “They told you your job was to confirm and steal the codes, eh? Noooo, your job was just to confirm that we had the codes.” The man said and the others laughed.

“And now that your job is done, you die.” The terrorist said and just as he raised his rifle at Fisher, a loud explosion rocked the place. One of Fisher’s men had managed to throw a grenade before breathing his last.

Fisher crawled slowly towards the man who had the codes and collected it before staggering back to his feet.

It was time to go home to go face a corrupt General.
