Give the dog a bone, and it will stay loyal. Give an individual a reason to trust you, and he or she’ll pledge his or her loyalty to you.
Steemit gave me a reason to explore its world and, it got a staunch devotee and fan in me.
My steemit journey began last year after an encounter with @talktofaith, who happened to be a friend of mine on facebook.
I am a tough nut to crack for sales executives. I could be too finicky to a fault as I try to sieve thoroughly their pitches; speeches I believe are just sweet-laden bait to entrap gullible fellows.
So, when I get emails and videos from sales executives and marketers trying to sell products or investment platforms to me, my trigger-happy fingers gleefully hit the delete button.
I must confess, nothing as refreshing as hitting the delete button on my laptop anytime I get such videos and emails. It is like flushing your poo down the toilet.
But, this perspective kind of changed when I met @talktofaith. I wasn’t eager to cut her off my phone when she pitched steemit to me like I would have normally done. Rather, we spoke for lengthy periods, interfacing on whatsapp too before we finally agreed to see.
@Talktofaith gave me reasons to join steemit. They were reasons that I guess turned me into devout steemian now.
“You’re a good writer, you’ll meet people that share same passions and other interests, and lastly your passion will always fetch you cash reward.”

REWARD FOR PASSION
Yes! That was @talktofaith’s final speech to me in her quest to bring me on board.
There is no greater motivation for me on a personal level. Passion driven and getting paid for what you love doing is simply irresistible to me.
@talktofaith led me to a community where I can finally explore my world; creative thinking and writing while also getting paid for it too.
It is like a side hustle for me. It is like turning one’s hobbie into a money making venture. It is a perfect world that rewards you for your invested time and energy.

No disrespect to facebook and other interactive platforms, I can’t get any pittance or cool sums from spending hours there.
It is more rewarding to divest such energy and time to steemit because at the end of the day, I’ll cash out. So, there is no greater motivation than that for me.

STEEMIT; A WORLD OF ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES
I come on steemit every day with renewed verve and passion to explore, understand and maximize all that the platform has got to offer.
The communities are a window of opportunity for me as it affords me the chance to discover folks that I share areas of interests with. As a journalist, besides creative writing, I deal with photography too and, I must confess communities like ‘’Writing and Review’’ and ‘’xpiliar’’ have been helpful.
Besides, the fact that steemit is trying to be commercial driven or more profitable with the advent of a bitcoin partner, ‘’Tron’’, gets me more excited.
I see opportunities and, I’m eager to grab them with both hands.
Steemit is making me business savvy and smart hence, it explains my serious and get-to-business attitude I exhibit whenever I am on the platform.
For example, the contests available on the communities are a thing I look forward to. I like the challenges and the competitiveness it creates as everybody scramble for the top spot.

It is something I embraced and look forward to every time a contest pops up.
Steemit is also about positive vibes for me. I am excited to always come on the platform to make my time more productive and rewarding.
