Feminism or Convenience? 🤔
Question 1: What does the word feminism mean to you? Describe it in your own words; no looking up concepts online. 😅😅
To me, feminism is all about fairness. It started as the idea that women should have the same basic rights, dignity and opportunities as men that is right to education, safety, voice, and freedom to choose their own way. Not Dominance, not competition just equality and respect.
Question 2: At what point do you think feminism stopped being a fight for rights and started being used for convenience?
I think it all started when equality stopped being the goal and discrimination became the focus. When some people began using feminism only in situations where it favors them and ignoring it when it requires effort, responsibility or fairness that’s where it started getting obscure.
Question 3: Have you seen situations where feminism is only used when it benefits someone, but ignored when it demands accountability? Give us an example! 😁
Yeah, I’ve heard of situations like; someone claims equality in careers and pay but rejects equality when it comes to obligation, consequences, or shared responsibilities.
For example; wanting equal authority in leadership, but refusing equal criticism when mistakes are made. That’s not feminism that’s convenience. In today’s social media space, it’s happening within the top tier feminism ( few of them) and we the followers are observing it.
Question 4: What aspects of feminism do you consider necessary and which do you think have been distorted?
- Equal access to education and opportunities and protection from maltreatment and discrimination should be necessary.
- Having a voice in decisions that affect lives should be distorted;
- Treating men as enemies instead of partners
- Using feminism to explain bad behavior
- Turning empowerment into disrespect or superiority.
Question 5: Do you think some women use feminist discourse to avoid the consequences of their decisions and actions?
Yes some, not all. Just like some men misuse power or excuses too. Feminism shouldn’t mean “I’m empowered, therefore I’m never wrong.” Growth comes from responsibilities, not exemption.
Question 6: What do you think of women who say they don't need a man to grow in all areas of life?
I think it depends on what they mean. If they mean financially and personal independent, that’s healthy.
If they mean no man is ever valuable or necessary in any way, that’s unrealistic. Humans grow better through team work and collaboration, not isolation. Independence is good which means that rejection of connection isn’t strength.
Question 7: Do you think the rights and responsibilities of men and women should be the same? Why?
Yes absolutely equal. Responsibilities? Equal in value, but sometimes different in expression. Why? Because equality doesn’t mean similarity; it means fairness. Both genders bring different strengths, but both should be accountable, respected and protected under the same moral and legal standards.

Many thanks for the support @suboohi 🙏🏻
Holaa señora amiga yo estoy muy de cuadro con usted en el feminismo fue una maldad dejar de centrarse en lo que era el verdadero objetivo como la igualdad de derecho y la libertad para centrarse únicamente en la discriminación. Suerte bye ❤️.
Absolutely correct! equal rights and freedom should always remain the main goal. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.🤗
