My Original Talent is Playing Cricket:

I feel really good even before starting the topic as I LOVE what I am going to talk about And it is CRICKET. I love cricket and it is the best hobby I am having since my childhood. The Talent I will be talking about today is Playing Cricket among other Talents which I will be sharing some other time soon.

I remember the first sport I played in my childhood was cricket and it started from the age of 5-6. That was the time when I first played cricket with my cousins. At that time the world cup 2003 was on its start and everyone was watching cricket every day in our house on a single Television in our Guesthouse. The craze for cricket in our country is developed for 4-5 decades. But the thrilling moment which give a new evaluation and public interest were in 1992 when our cricket team won our first world cup played in Australia. That was the time when cricket was the only popular sport played in our country after Hockey which is our National Game.

I remember, when I joined my school, I soon joined my class cricket team and then after some time was named in the school team. At that time we played Football as well with very zeal but the love for cricket was crazy. At that time whenever we get any free time we were always there to play cricket and sometimes football. In school, I had to go early as we had to play before the start of the school and then after in the sports class, But it doesn't finish here when our school time was over and we reach home then in the afternoon we had to play cricket again among the cricket teams of our cousins and neighborhood friends.

Batting and Bowling Style:

The talent I had at that time was to bat nicely and bowl fast as I can. And with both the skills I had won our that time teams a lot of matches.

The story continues, and when I changed school in 6th standard, I was missing my old friends and the previous school's cricket team. But soon, I became to know that the whole new school is also crazy for cricket and among other sports the best one played there was also cricket. And, I started playing for my class team and won my first match for them with my all-around performance and so the class gave me all the credit and respect as the best player in the match. And for the first time, I was named captain of the class team in 8th standard. The best for me was that I was named captain of the Cricket team, as well as our Football team and Badminton also. the remaining sport played in our school at that time was basketball, which I decided to play as a player and will not be a captain.

image.png

That year was the best year in my life as I got distinction in my class as well as won so many matches for my class and was named the best player in the class. Till that time I joined a professional cricket club and was representing them as well which is named "Ajiz Cricket Club". I played in their junior team for a year and then was promoted to the first team on my performances. I lead the club junior team for a while before joining the first team.

The talent, I was showcasing at that time was batting at the top of the order, wicket keeping as a part-time, and was also an off-spin bowler. I played with the best of my skills and talent for my teams in school, college, and in my club also.

image.png

Talking about my career, I continuously lead my class team till my college but along with that, I was named the captain of the school team when I was in my 12th. At that time I was at my peak of cricket as at the age of 17, I was representing my school & college as well as my club and was doing really better. That was the year when my club won a tournament named an "IGFC cricket tournament", that was the best state-level tournament and we were lucky to win that.

image.png

I remember representing my school & college, our cricket team had only a few good players who previously played with the hardball, which means the red leather ball, and all others played with the Tennis ball. The challenge we had at that time was to train them as well with the leather ball as the tournament we were about to play in, was organized by the district sports officials along with our education department. That meant that the tournament had to be played with the red leather ball. So, we accepted the challenge and I had with me my childhood friend and cousin the @realatta , and another young stylish batsman Amin. With both of them, I trained the other team members and our preparation went well till the start of the tournament.

The first match, we played was against a government school of Gardai (A place in Pakistan), and we started our journey with a win and continued that till the semi-final. In the semi-final, we were unlucky to be beaten by 3-4 runs and all our team was really upset about not winning the cup for our school. Still, we were praised a lot at school but we were not happy as a team for not bringing the Cup with us. I still feel that pain while writing that moment here.

I still play for my club, and I have so many memories with all my teammates but I have chosen another field as a career now which is "Chartered Accountancy". I get to play whenever I visit back to my club but that happens rarely now. Still, I play Cricket anywhere I get a chance to, as I have represented my Audit firm in the tournament organized by our Chartered Accountants institutions of our country and did well there too with the bat and ball as well.

image.png

Alhamdulillah, I have so many talents but the talent for which I feel blessed and love the most is Cricket. I have played professional cricket for years and now trying to get my Chartered Accountancy certificate. But still, if I ever get a chance to play cricket as a career, I would love to grab that.

image.png

That was all for today, I hope my story depicts my talent with the best I wanted to. Still, if there is any suggestion or correction, I would love to know about that.

I invite my friends @mahishines and @realatta to participate in this challenge.

Best wishes and smiles to everyone!

Sports play crucial role in human development. Cricket as sport is incredible activity and as i read your article, it reminds me of the great sachin tendulkar. Your playing style must be like sachin or there is a cricketer from Pakistan, Asad shafique.

Indeed sports is an important and useful part of our life. We shall play any kind of sports for learning and developing of team spirirt, team lead, and patience.

Thank you for the praises, it means alot.

First of all, I would like to offer my congratulations on writing the best article.
Weldon👏 Then I would like to say something about your talent. You are a well-versed cricketer. The kind of talent you had without a professional coach is admirable. You and I have played cricket together since childhood and you have been my idol. Because you played so stylish that I wish I could Also plays stylish like you.
But Unfortunately we belonged to a backward area where there were no facilities otherwise that talent was enough to make a good cricketer.
But you know the hope is still alive.💪

For these words I can't say anything as I am out of words. I must Thank you for the kind word and appreciation that you have shown me.

Further, your talent should have been used for the representation of Pakistan from a long time. The quality you have can match all the best talents from around the world at this time. But as luck play it's part in everything. And as you said the hope should always stay alive to be the best and get the best always.

But I regret one thing that we have not played since long as openers of our team, hope that will be seen soon again.

That is some talent I wanted from my childhood but never had. You should work hard and try to play for Pakistan to. Good luck

I understand your feeling as most of the youth today want to play cricket at their best and stands out to be the best.

Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. I appreciate it.
