Welcome to the month of Ramadan: A new chapter of self-purification
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.
My friends, how are you all? I hope that by the infinite mercy of Allah Almighty, you are all well and healthy. And I also pray to the Almighty that you are always well and healthy.
A year has passed in the blink of an eye. But we did not realize how quickly this time has passed. After a long year of waiting, the holy month of Ramadan has returned to us again. Alhamdulillah! Today, the first day of this month of mercy, blessings, and salvation is being celebrated in different countries of the world and in the homes of our Muslim Ummah. In fact, every Muslim waits for this month. Because the virtues of this month and the blessings of this month are so much that there is no other month. Therefore, every Muslim eagerly waits for this month.
As far as I know, the month of Ramadan is not just an ordinary month for our Muslim community; it is a month of great emotion, a month of great opportunity for us. Throughout the year, we make so many mistakes and errors in the world, we make our souls dirty. And this Ramadan comes to wash away that dirt and make us pure people. In short, we are guilty of all the small sins that we commit throughout the year, the crime of being small and black, because of all those crimes, God has given us this month so that we can actually get rid of those sins and become free.
Today, on this first day, a different kind of peace is working within me. It seems that Allah Almighty has once again allowed me to correct myself. So I ate Sehri in the morning, and today I have to fast all day. When it is time for Iftar that evening, I have to break the fast on time. What an unearthly joy is hidden in all this, only a fasting person can feel.
So, friends, let us promise that this Ramadan will not be limited to just not eating. Let us also abandon our backbiting, jealousy, hatred,d and arrogance in this Ramadan. Let us stand by the poor and suffering people and sincerely ask Allah for forgiveness for our sins. Who knows, maybe this could be the last Ramadan of our lives!
May Allah, the Almighty, grant us all the ability to observe the fasts of this holy month and accept our prayers.
