Your story reminds me of an experience I had with a friend in school, where every time he failed an exam, he would say it was because God wanted it that way, but sometimes we can't blame God or luck when we don't put in the effort to achieve something. Luck exists; many people win the lottery, and that is luck. But in other situations in our lives, we cannot say that it is just a matter of luck when, in reality, it is a matter of each individual and how much work we put into what we want.
