RE: Identidad moderna: ¿libertad o crisis social?
Well, we are very much in agreement in our rejection of religions – although I actually find the institutions behind them more questionable than individual beliefs...
Social media is all sorts of things: an opportunity, a blessing, a curse, a punishment, a seducer, an abyss... My use of it has always been very limited and very clear: I use what benefits me, but I don't let myself be used. That's easy to say, and I probably don't always succeed. Nevertheless, for me, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages – short, fast channels of communication. I'm simply not interested in the rest of the fuss.
And that's where the problem lies: social media doesn't impose new, false norms and values on us. No, it merely awakens our worst qualities.
