Youths of Ukpum Okon Clan Conduct Sanitation Exercise and Perform Traditional Rites Ahead of Burial of Late Mrs. Grace Friday Thompson and Late Mrs. Mercy Julius Kingston

As part of the preparations for the burial of late Mrs. Grace Friday Thompson, scheduled for Saturday, 10th January 2026, the youths of Ukpum Okon Clan came together to carry out a sanitation exercise at the deceased's compound in Okon Town, Ikot Abasi Local Government Area.

This community effort was not only aimed at cleaning and beautifying the premises but also involved performing the traditional rite known as 'Ubob Ndak.

After the sanitation exercise, Comrade Uduak Friday Thompson, also known as Bellion and one of the sons of the deceased, paid a condolence visit to Kingston Patrick who is also preparing to bury his mother, late Mrs. Mercy Julius Kingston, on the same day.

Comrade Uduak arrived at Patrick’s compound in Ikot Ukpong/Ekwere Village, Okon Town, Ikot Abasi Local Government Area, amidst the ongoing sanitation activities, offering words of comfort and urging Patrick to remain strong in the Lord during this difficult time.

In response, Patrick Kingston expressed his gratitude for the visit and extended similar words of encouragement to Comrade Uduak, reminding him to stay strong in faith as he mourns the loss of his own mother.
