My Diary Game: OTHER ENGAGEMENTS BEFORE OUR DAY 2 CRUSADE – 13/12/2025

Hello o, a blessed Saturday, and a beautiful weekend altogether I wish you all. Today is the second day of our crusade, but then I was engaged before the 6pm programme began.

MORNING
Yesterday, having the symptoms of malaria in the Village, there was no close medical care as at the time it kept sneezing, coughing and headache. The boys did their usual way and cooked a combination of 5 edible leaves with sweet oranges and I drank it. I felt relieved to work and greatly involved in the crusade later in the evening.
Waking up this morning after family prayers with my boss and others, they warmed the remaining concoction and I had to drink from a big glass. Much later I ate pawpaw to deal with my digestive system as I had constipated for 2 days since arriving for the crusade. It turned to cause a stomach upset, so I retired to bed immediately and slept off.

AFTERNOON
My boss and I had planned to go for a burial in a nearby community but since I was still disturbed with the stomach upset, we had to shift the time from 11am to 12:30pm, yet, we ended up going at 1pm. We couldn't meet up with the burial except where people were entertained. I used the opportunity to see those whom I needed to register my presence, but where they were I could only gain entrance with a ticket that I didn't have. I was so determined, all of a sudden I saw the friend I was looking for through the gate, and he asked the security men to pass me in. I spent about 15 minutes and returned.

EVENING
When I came back from the burial I was sleeping until 5:30pm when I got up to prepare for the crusade. Arrangements and connections were met as at the time my phone was off. We started singing until the conductor arrived. It was another night of wonders as the man of God preached a textual sermon from Genesis 41:16, assuring the land that God will give them an answer of peace in tune with the theme of the crusade “Be Anxious for Nothing”, God will answer you and attend to the voice of your supplications. The message encouraged the people to trust God for everything and never hope on man. The high of the preaching when the preacher mentioned that it's only our sins that can hinder or delay answers to our prayers. He admonished the community to depart from what they believe and hold firm to God whose eye is on the sparrows, who is watching over us. The cleric called people to repentance from all forms of sins that our God is merciful to forgive and restore them.
A little challenge during the crusade was when one of the speakers ceased to play, and it was a major sound production, this happened in the middle of the programme, call it between 8:30pm and 9pm, I was restless, tracing wires and cords, speakons end various connections, which it took me over 15 minutes to sort it out. Glory be to God others who were there contributed their ideas, it became a teamwork that works. Sound was restored and the place boomed on to the glory of God and for the success of day 2 of the programme.

To sum up the day, it was not without any challenge but we must conquer it by the wisdom God Almighty has blessed us with. I succeeded with the help of teamwork.
LESSON OF THE DAY
Never undermine what those boys in the village can do. They are the ones who stood by me although the crusade and I really appreciated them, especially yesterday when the loudspeaker broke down.
