I had a breakfast of hot jollof rice and i quickly dash inside the bathroom to do my early morning rituals, after taking my bath and brushing my teeth,i calmly ate my breakfast before heading out to the great Onitsha main market.
I will briefly talk about the market . Onitsha Main Market is one of the largest and busiest markets in West Africa. It is located in the commercial city of Onitsha, along the eastern bank of the River Niger. The market began to grow during the colonial era when Onitsha became an important trading center because of its location near the Niger River. Traders from different parts of Nigeria and neighboring West African countries came to buy and sell goods such as textiles, electronics, food items, building materials, and household products. It accommodating to all tribes of Nigeria
After the Nigerian Civil War (1967–1970), the market expanded rapidly as commerce returned to the eastern region. Over the decades, it developed into a major distribution hub, supplying goods to many parts of Nigeria. Thousands of traders operate in the market daily, making it a key part of the economy of Anambra State.Today, Onitsha Main Market is known for its large size, crowded trading environment, and strong entrepreneurial spirit. It remains a symbol of business and commerce in southeastern Nigeria and West Africa.
After moving around the market and looking at the beauty of the markets,i was very tired and needed something to snack on,so i called a snack seller and requested for some cooled soda drink and some gala.
After snacking on those soda and gala,i started my journey back home and i branched at a newspaper deposit just to look around and here the newest trending news and gists.
