The Diary Game: A Cracked Start To 2026 And Selfie With My Kid Sister(01-01-2026)

Hello y'all, trust you're doing great? It's a new year and I'm wishing y'all the very best of it. I had no relaxing moment on Friday and that made me unable to make a post here and secondly, I wasn't in my best mood because my phone got spoilt and it got me so annoyed that I almost lost my mind. On Friday morning when I woke up, I swept the compound alongside my sister and when we finished sweeping, she asked that we take pictures which I accepted.

We finished taking pictures and I went to the kitchen to set the fire place and boil water for tea. I sent my sister to buy me beverages and bread for the tea and when she returned, I took pictures of the items she bought before using them. My mom had not yet returned from the market and honestly, I was hungry and couldn't wait any longer that's why I had to make the tea which also was helpful to my siblings because I knew they were hungry as well.

My mom returned from the market and asked that I slice Afang leaves, I looked at my long nails and had doubts if I will be able to do it but I'm order not to look stubborn, I asked my siblings to get me knife and other things which I will use in slicing the Afang and when it was brought, I began to slice the Afang. Surprisingly, I was able to do it though it was a bit difficult at first. When I finished, mom gave me a share of the meat she bought from the market.

In the evening after all chores, I took my bath anf went inside to have a little rest. I unknowingly stepped on my phone screen as I climbed the bed, I heard a sound and was so convinced it was my phone. I removed the clothes the phone was covered with and saw a cracked screen and om still confused if it's my main phone screen or the screen guard. I'm too scared to remove the screen guard to know if my screen is affected, my mood changed and I begged 2026 not to start this way with me. I stepped out to buy pad but couldn't return home immediately because of the activities of masquerades on our street.

When the masquerade had exited the street, I ran home and my mom laughed saying she knew I won't come back immediately because of my fear for masquerades. I went in, took my bath and ate before going to bed. My siblings didn't let me sleep immediately as they all gathered and asked me to tell them moonlight tales, I begged them to leg me be as I wasn't in a good mood, promising to do it the next day for them.
