The Diary Game: Family Commitment And Today's Engagements 14/2/2026

Saturdays are for both business and family time. Saturdays are dry days in the market, people barely come to buy things in the market on Saturdays and I am still yet to understand, I know I am not that long in this business but I am learning and I will get more adapted to this reality. That was how I woke up and went to keep my wife's shop while she prepared our son so they can come out.

When she came with our son, I told her I will be leaving to work immediately I get back home. After I got back to the house, I left the house and went to the market to be and just see how the day will be with my staff.

Since we do close early on Saturdays, I stayed in the shop and was only able to sell three bags of cement and just a hammer. I closed by 3pm and returned back to the house to pack my bike then went to my wife's shop to be, at least today we do make heavy sales in her shop.

When I got to her shop, there were some guys that were enjoying themselves, they were drinking sachet alcohol. When they saw me, they were hailing me, I bought them more sachet drinks and then took my own, we talked and had a good time.

As they left, I packed the sachets and dumped them very well then I helped my wife to attend to customers. She told me she had slight headache and that was why she was down, I knew it stress and she needs to rest and plus, this boy has really been stressing her up.

In the evening, we left and went back home. When we got back to the house, she told me the headache was too much, I went to the chemist and bought pain relief for the headache. When I bought it, I came back and gave her to take then I went to the kitchen.

I saw the fish she seasoned and steamed in the morning, I took some from there and used it to prepare rice then after cooking, I ate with everyone and my wife helped me to wash the plates after we finished eating.

After we finished evening chores, she told me she was getting better and the headache had gone. I was so happy to hear that so I asked her to bath and rest while I take care of our son so that she won't have to shout up and down.
