For me, the World Cup is memorable because of the unity, bring together of people from different nation just to bond for one particular sport is simply amazing and also the emotions it creates. It brings together people from different cultures, languages, and backgrounds to celebrate football as one. The atmosphere in the stadiums, the chanting of the fans for their various counties and players and the respect shown between players after matches make it special. Moments like players exchanging jerseys and consoling each other after tough games show the true spirit of game love if the game that goes beyond carrying the Cup.
While many will focus on countries like Brazil, France, or Argentina, I believe Portugal can surprise everyone in 2026. Portugal has a better and strong squad with experienced leaders and talented young players such as Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva. Having won the UEFA Euro 2016 they understand what it takes to succeed in major tournaments. I expect them to win the 2026 World Cup. They have the right combination of experience, tactical discipline, and attacking quality. Their defense is solid, their midfield is creative, and their attack is led by world-class players like Ronaldo.
