Yeah, to write a really good poem I think, takes time and there must be inspiration. But poems say so much more than prose, and in less space. I had great fun writing the news poems, usually laughing my ass off early in the morning while writing them.
The branching out in writing, I owe 100% to joining steemit and the wonderful people here who clued me in!
Interestingly, I've met some people here who have inspired me to try to write some poetry!
