TRACK OF THE WEEK! (2020 ROUND 2) - Share your TUNES and WIN the post earnings! (Last weeks winner @wesphilbin received 8.428 STEEM)
Welcome to the "Track of the Day Contest!" Some of you may remember "way back when" I used to run this weekly music contest. At the time it was called "track of the day". Honestly, I always did it because I loved discovering what other people listened to and increasing my own personal playlist from all the shares, so for that reason - I have decided to kick it off again!
2020 ROUND 2 (Closes 11am UTC 23rd Jan)
WHAT YOU WIN
After 7 days I will decide which track I like the most! The winning track selected (by me) will win all the liquid earnings that this post accumulates and the confirmation of funds transfer will be shared in the following round.
HOW TO ENTER
All you have to do is share a link in the comments to a song that you are really enjoying at the moment - whether it is new or old it does not matter and neither does the music genre... whether you have loved it your entire life or just for a day is irrelevant! just NO personal promo links please! And please do not look at MY track genre selection as a guide to what you should or should not share... I have an incredibly eclectic taste in music and will no doubt continue to shock most of you as the weekly rounds unfold haha!
Right! With the logistics out the way... let's get to it! Here is my track selection for this round... which is of no consequence really haha - but what fun would it be if I didn't get to share with you all as well!
AND THE WINNER OF THE LAST ROUND...
@WESPHILBIN!
YOUR 8.428 STEEM HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED
I just absolutely loved the genre combination in this track! VERY cool!!!! Great share Wes - thank you for participating! Hope to see you again this round!
OK - NOW IT'S YOUR TURN...
LET'S HEAR THOSE TRACKS PEEPS!
❤❤❤
Until next time...
Much Love from Cape Town, South Africa xxx

This is a really cool contest @janie.

Here is a track from Bob Dylan's album DESIRE
The song tells the story of the life of the boxer, Rubin Hurricane Carter.

One of my favourite albums, great track. Although ... Blonde on blonde, Blood on the tracks, bringing it all..., freewheelin, bootleg... How do you choose
This one maybe...
Love this!!
Unfortunately not available in SA :(
hello jaynie, I think this activity is great because I love music. It's hard to choose just one and I can't wait to put all the songs I like. By chance today I heard a song that was dedicated to me years ago by a great friend, with whom I have been in contact again thanks to a group of whatsapp, the first thing he did was remind me of this beautiful song, so I share it with all of you.
Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline
This is a great classic! We hear it here all the time! Great share hon!
One of my all time favorite songs!
"Sweet Caroline" will always conjure up happy memories of my son's days in high school where it was played during halftime at football games as well as at the "Mom Prom!"
May God bless Neil Diamond as he deals with Parkinson's disease.
Btw, Neil Diamond celebrates his 78th birthday today, January 23rd!
Phil Collins is SUCH A LEGEND! I LOVE his music! Have not heard this one in years! Great share!!!
Hello lovely Lady J!
It has been too long.
We still have a couple more weeks of school summer holidays here. My little dude is starting school!!! I can't believe it!
He is at the age (my mental age), where farts, bums, poop are the funniest things ever. He came home from a friends place singing Fat bottom girls, and very impressed with himself. So... here is @littleblue's track
We then youtubed some old school classics.
Probably not my proudest parenting moment but definitely not my worst. Anyway... I thought he would like sir mix-a-lot, but watching back... it is not very PC... But it is true... I do like big butts... I can not lie!
So here it is #flashbackfriday
Baby got back
What a lovely surprise to see you here hon! I hope you are doing well!!!!! As for Queen... you are preaching to the converted lol! LOVE that track and as for the second... I have loved that since I was a kid - awesome blast from the past! - Going to add it to my playlist now. Amazing how many tunes we forget about in our old age haha!! Awesome shares!
I am hoping to get back into the steem game soon. You are going to have to school me in this hive business. Every time I drop off for a bit I come back baffled by something. Clueless.
Speaking of MIA have you heard from the quill?
I had to share this flashback too from @idig aka @weirdheadaches.

Thanks for this excellent Contest Idea... and congrats @wesphilbin! Since I can't really resist to such a challenge, here I go with a "trouvaille" from yesterday.
Please Enjoy My Track Of The Week The Ras Sinai Project - Sud Elyoni
What a great track! I love Eastern inspired music. This one is super... would make a good combo with the likes of Cafe Del Mar or Buddha Bar! Pity there is no music video. Great share! Thanks for participating. :)
Agreed and Agreed... hehe! That must be awesome to see and hear live I guess.
No doubt!
Congrats @wesphilbin keep the music flowing....
Entry for the week thanks @jaynie
Climie Fisher - Rise To The Occasion (1987)
Oh my heavens @joanstewart!!!! I have not heard this since I was tween!!! Always loved this!!! What a blast from the past! Thank you!
Today I'll share something completely different. From Ukraine's X-Factor, 15 year old Helga singing Powerwolf - We Drink Your Blood.
If you don't understand a word they're saying, just skip to the 3:00 mark. 🤭
Often times you do not need to understand what they are saying, because the music, visuals, expression and emotional energy speak for themselves - This was DEFINITELY one of those cases.
OMG her VOICE!!!! and the way it transforms from almost operatic to the likes of the lead singer from Disturbed. This gave me TOTAL goosies!!!! LOVE IT! And you can see she is having an absolute an ABSOLUTE JOL (South African term for PARTY!)
Great share @trincowski!
Ps... when are we going to see you hop into PHC?!
Let Me start at the beginning. With a Home Town Rock n Roll band I grew up with. Drank many a cold beer ~ to & with ~ in the local Erie, PA. (USA) pubs. They had some fame and national air play in the 80's and 90s on radio & MTV's head bangers ball. More about them here. Dirty Looks Wiki
I love this weekly song post concept. Shout out to @jaynie for the contest. Win or not, it is really cool to see what others are listening to. My musical taste runs a wide range from this link to many others. It will be fun to post a few in the coming weeks. And I promise, just a comment or 2 & song link on the next weeks entry, lol.
I struggled for hours today on what song to post from Dirty Looks. And decided on this one. This whole Album, in my opinion Is their best.
So I will link the Album Title song, and If You like it, You are welcome to search out some others. Like track 3 "Only Tomorrow" or track 8 "Back To Marseilles" and even track 1 "Blue Tequila"

Awesome share @krazzytrukker! Great "roadtrip" tune too! I am pretty much the same as you, I love all sorts and seeing what other people listen to was the reason I originally started this contest so am stoked to be doing it again! Great to have you on board!
Have an awesome weekend! :D
The is a cool contest and I look forward to more of them. Ok so this song has no lyrics, no wow, no message and no drama...just calm, chill and relax. I am really enjoying learning more about what is called lofi and chill.
Sometimes a track with no lyrics is even more powerful than one with. Really enjoyed this... can actually picture you listening to this in the beautifully tranquil place you call home :) Great share @old-guy-photos :)
Hi Jaynie. I enjoy most music and like songs with a bluegrass sound. I’ve heard songs by Mac Wiseman all my life. Here he sings Kentucky with the music of the mandolin and dobro.
I am pretty much the same! I enjoy everything from Elvis Presley to Marilyn Manson. I also love country (new and classic). This was such an awesome Sunday track! Going to add it to my playlist. Great share hon, and thanks for participating!
Thanks Jaynie! Wiseman has passed now. I enjoyed so many of his songs as Dad used to play the old records when I was growing up. I’m happy you liked it. 💗
