Amazing Nature: Tiny Braves The Snow

My entry to #amazingnature hosted by @adalger. Check his post Here for information on the contest. I live on an Island in the Canadian countryside surrounded by a forest. The biggest animal living here would be the buffalo. They are not native but were shipped here years ago from Alberta and live at Buffaloland Park. The herd numbers 58. Of course there are lots of birds and farms animal but as for the wild animals, the coyote would be the biggest with the fox second, then the raccoons, skunks, beavers and other smaller ones.

Of Christmas, Gifts and Reducing Environmental Impact...

Xmas!I was thinking about what Christmas means to me as I went through the motions today. While it may be easy to get distracted by notions of commercialism, frantic traffic and store behaviour, and reasons to hate the holiday season. As many know about me, I chose to invest effort and emotion into finding a reason to enjoy wherever possible. Christmas is no different.

Wintermas Snowmen

The iconic image of the snowman during the Wintermas season is common, even in areas where snow is not so prevalent as in some locales. Snowmen often can be seen hanging-out in merchants' window displays, as the following photographs by me illustrate.

Hi there fellow Steemians. Another fun job we got to do was this beautiful hand built garden table with 5 chairs. Its always a satisfying feeling to restore something to its former glory. To take that step back and look at what you did and admire it.
