Resolution - Killing 2 Birds (A PowerHouseCreatives Contest)

I am sure many of you know this already, but @zord189 puts out a 'challenge' each week to the members of #powerhousecreatives. PHC Contest This week's contest is on Resolutions. I have done a post or two in the past regarding resolutions. Well New Years' Resolutions and why we should not stress ourselves out on trying to meet or make unreachable goals.

Don't get me wrong, goals are necessary. It is one of the ways we work on change, within ourselves and around us. So one of my goals on Steemit was to use my experiences and yes my views of life and other things to encourage engagement, communication and support. Which is why I started my Mindfulness Mondays, which has now changed into Mindful Mondays and became a part of #naturalmedicine community.

Along with this if you have read any of my Mindful Monday posts is to work on bullying. Having been bullied the majority of my life, it is not something I tolerate in any fashion. NO ONE has the right to harm, intimidate, demean, degrade, put down, persecute, brow beat, or whatever to another person. YOU have the right to stand up and fight back should you choose.

So my resolution is I will not sit idly by and allow bullying .

In recent weeks I am sure that many of you have seen a 'person' out there that feels it is his responsibility to rid Steemit of what many of us know as SBI or SteemBasicIncome. Said individual is a former bidbot owner who seems to feel that now any form of investment or paid in for support is wrong.

While I have never used a bidbot and I do see how it could be detrimental to the platform, my over all feeling is/was to each their own. It is not my place to tell others what to do. It did however, affect me upvoting someone. I felt my vote no matter how small could be of better use somewhere else. My feeling is if your bidbot was so awesome it would still be around. It is my guess it didn't have the return on investment you were seeking. That would be ironic.

Now, he has changed his tactic has gone from an automatic downvote of anyone who had SBI to targeting those who now purchase SBI, oh and it's manual. I wish I had that much time in my day to seek out and downvote a specific group of people. EEk I better stop, I'm scaring myself. I hope you can see where this might go.

Good News??

If you take a long hard look, ok maybe not so hard isn't that what this platform is about? You delegate to a cause, a tribe or what have you and in return (in most cases) you get a vote. The % of the vote depends on the delegation or 'pay in'. Then there are those of us that simply delegate to projects and communities to help others. Yes I know this is an over simplification, but isn't this how things are?

When I figured out how I wanted to be a part of this platform, my decision was to help others any way I could. I am not a buy-in Whale. I don't have a lot of money. 98% of my total value is earned. I have only had a couple of individuals that have freely given delegations to me. I have not been so lucky to have NUMEROUS people help me in that department like so many seem to have. That is fine, I am glad there are those that have the ability to give more. Once I achieve my next goal I will start doing the same.

Your time on this platform is yours. It truly is what you make of it.
