SPIRITUAL MATURITY
Let me begin by saying that spiritual maturity is not a function of age or how long a person is born again
You can be born again for forty years or even more but yet you are not matured spiritually, so it is not in
a calendar age.
Also, Church title doesn't make anyone matured in spiritual things, so don't think because you an elder, deacon, even pastor in Church that you are matured spirituality, no it's not a function of church title either.
Spiritual maturity is seen in your knowledge of the scripture and how well you are able to apply it in your daily life
In other words, your ability to read the scripture, have full understanding, interpret it correctly, know how to apply it to your daily life and have results is spiritual maturity.
Spiritual maturity can also be seen in the way a Christian or believer act or response to situation in life.
(Eph. 4;15) ** stead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.**
Until your heart is established with full assurance of what Christ did for you, it's impossible for you to grow into this maturity.
Your honest believe in Christ, is the existence of your living. Gal. 2:20.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
As a Christian, you grow into this maturity by knowing Christ through constantly Studying the scripture. And the truth you know, is what you applied to your life.
In conclusion, I want you to know that your spiritual maturity is in Christ because in him you live, in him you have your being, it's not in age or Church title but it has everything to do in the belief and knowledge you have about Christ.
Get this right and begin to rule your world, until I come your way again.
You seldom see spiritual maturity in young people. You have to walk with God a long time before you're spiritually mature and being a Christian a long time doesn't guarantee you spiritual maturity.
You need to engage in spiritual disciplines for decades. That includes daily prayer, daily Bible reading, and regular church attendance when possible. You also need to grow in obedience. I also listen to scripture based Christian music that feeds me spiritually. I also sometimes listen to Bible teaching by Dr. J. Vernon McGee from the Thru the Bible radio program.
