Diary (19-12-2024) || "Taking care of the rice seedbed and have to guard the potato fields from goats and cows.

Some of the seedlings in my rice seedbed are turning yellow and drying up due to lack of water and excessive fog. So I irrigated them the day after yesterday. This morning I went to see the seedbed and the morning sun is shining brightly. I am inspecting my rice seedbed very carefully. Spiders have woven webs among the rice seedlings. The fog is gathering and it looks beautiful, which I tried to capture on camera. I will spray pesticides in the rice seedbed today, so I asked my brother to bring pesticides from the store.

I came home and had breakfast. Our chickens and ducks got sick. I had to go to the veterinary pharmacy in the morning to get medicine. I went and brought veterinary medicine and gave it to the mother duck. When I mixed this trilvit powder in water, the ducks and chickens were not eating, so I mixed it with grain food and they ate some.

In the afternoon, we went to spray pesticides in our seedbed. My brother was spraying pesticides on the leaves of the rice seedlings with a spray machine, and I spent the whole time there with him. In the afternoon, I took a bath and had lunch with the whole family.

The potatoes we planted have sprouted and the lands around our land are still uncultivated and are being used as pastures for goats and cows. As a result, other people's goats and cows are eating and destroying our potato crops. I have to guard our potato fields to protect the potato crops. I went to our potato fields and chased away all the goats and cows around.

I was in the field until afternoon when there were other people's goats and cows left there. As the sun was setting, an old woman was driving her goats home. The old woman had a thin stick in her hand with which she was controlling the goats and leading them towards the house. I also returned home now. All my agricultural work for today was finished. I went to the local market in the evening and spent time at my brother's pesticide shop.
