## Maize plant##

Hi STEEMIANS ,am @commy05,it's my pleasure to appear on ur screen.so today ,I want to talk about maize plant.

Maize plant also known as corn,is a staple crop ,and is almost used by all,it's a crop in my country and the world at large.maize is also a cereal grain that are grown widely and consumed.
We ave white and yellow corn this are the two mayor types of corn I have seen been grown in my locality.
Bothe the white and yellow corn are consumable.

Uses of maize plant.
In Nigeria,both the white and yellow corn are used to produce almost the same thing,but the color differs .

. For food purposes.

.this feeding are not for human consumption alone ,but for also live stock and poultry as well.animal like fowl can use or consume the whole grain,and also consume the shaft gotten form producing the pap (oki),or cereal.the shaft can be given to chicken to feed on while extracting the the starchy part for human consumption like pap.

It's can also be consumed as ,kunu,or as tuwo in some culture..

##MEDICINAL PURPOSES##
the maize silk is used to cure different types of diseases. Disease like gonorrhea.and it's also used to treat infertility problems .most people used it for spiritual purposes based on their believes and cultures

maize plant has a lots of health benefit

1 maize plant is a good source of energy .it's rich in carb ...and carbs are energy giving food.

2 it's also a good source of vitamin, such as vitamin ba ND c

3 it's a good source of minerals.mimerals like ,potassium ,phosphorus and magnesium.are found in consuming maize plants..

4.the fiber content of it aids digestion and also prevent contispation ,this fiber helps in weight management....

5 . The vitamins in it ,like vit c,and aantioxidant promote healthy skin and hair..

1. The Zeaxanthin in maize plants helps to support eye vision..

With all of this ,it's advisable to consume corn on a regular basis so we can gain maximumly on this health benefit.
