Have you ever had frozen grapes before?

So, about a month ago I went to friend's house, and my friend gave me with some fruits and also a cold drink from her fridge.

She opened the freezer where there was a container full of grapes in it. I was quite surprised when I asked her if the grapes wouldn't spoil and she said no, in fact she wanted me to try them frozen.

She laughed at my naivety and said that no, they wouldn’t spoil. She was about to introduce me to something, which I can now share with all of you wonderful Steemit community members.

I had thought previously that frozen grapes would turn very hard and be bitter. That is not the case. They actually become cold, sweet and have a refreshingly crunchy texture that is pretty different from ordinary ice. So they are still a healthy, frozen treat that you can enjoy.

I'll also show you how to handle them.

The first thing to do is to wash the grapes. There is also a tip of adding salt to the water when you're washing the grapes to clean their skin well. When you're done, remove the grapes from their stalks and allow them to dry. Put them in a container or a freezer bag and store in the freezer overnight. The next day you will have a healthy frozen snack for you to enjoy.

On any hot day, there is nothing better than a few frozen grapes to quench your thirst. They are a great alternative to chewing ice or spending lots of money on frozen chocolate in the shops.

After a couple of days, grapes that have been stored in the freezer lose some of their flavor, but they will still stay crunchy so that's a good thing.

Right now I know how to appreciate grapes even more after figuring out such a simple trick.
