I went to visit a paddy field. There were many Mazda Boka attacks in the paddy fields. So today I will tell you the details about the insect.
Today we will talk about Mazda rice beetle. Rice is commonly attacked in many ways. The main problem among them is the Mazda beetle.

Farmers use most of the insecticides for pest control. Before discussing the method of control, everyone should have a clear idea about the life cycle of the caterpillar. The life cycle of the caterpillar is shown in the 1st picture above. First, the mother moth lays eggs and the eggs develop into larvae. This larva or worm is the only condition harmful to the crop. So we understand that if the queen bee can be killed, the bee will not harm the crop. Farmer brothers are late in this regard, they don't want to use pesticides until the trees are cut. It is necessary to increase their awareness in this regard.

The maggot first attacks rice at 20-25 days of age when the first batch of urea is applied to the field. At this time mother majra poka (Futi poka) is seen flying on the ground. The mother moth lays eggs and the eggs develop into larvae. The soft part of the rice plant is the food of the larvae. The larvae eat the soft part of the base and the plant withers. The tree comes up easily when pulled. This condition is called dead heart.

The second attack of maggots occurs at the age of 45-50 days. At this time, the root of the tree becomes hard. Larvae climb up the tree in search of soft parts, eating the upper part of the uppermost gizzard, by which time the tree has grown into a seed. Because water and food cannot reach the scrotum, the scrotum dries up and comes off easily when pulled. This condition is called white head.

Suppression system
Pheromone traps.
Application of balanced fertilizers.
Cultivation by maintaining proper plant and row spacing.
Do not use more urea fertilizers.
Planting pulses in the ground (perching).
Spraying of green pepper + ginger mixture of insecticides in approved doses as soon as the pest appears in the field.
Spraying cow urine (200 ml cow urine in 1 liter of water) once every 7 days

Care must be taken that once the caterpillar reaches the larval stage, it moves inside the stem and becomes difficult to control. As a preventive, insecticide application once at 20-25 days and second time at 45-50 days gives good results.
The main food grain of Bangladesh is rice. So take care of our paddy. Paddy should be planted more. After seeing the paddy field, I came home in the afternoon and came home to see football being played. I went to the field and watched the football game. Below is the picture.
