Our observations and notes

The exchange of data and value between blockchains in a secure and scalable environment is crucial for the survival and growth of cryptocurrencies. 

As per the linked article shared here, a crypto analyst, Guy, had claimed that Cosmos (coin: Atom) project provides such an environment and is "a leader in a niche no other cryptocurrencies are competing in." This statement of Guy seems to be completely false. A cursory search in google shows that there are at least forty seven (47) other cryptocurrencies in the space competing for a piece of the pie. Whilst many of the project listed in the Cryptoslate article may not be very familiar to the readers, there are few familiar names like Polkadot, Chainlink, Waves and Icon. 

If the analyst was hoping to get the price of Atom coin to moon with a 100% or more gain by misrepresenting facts, he surely failed.

    Thank you for fighting misinformation about crypto in this space. While I hold a little ATOM and believe in its importance as one of the most well known and earliest projects in its niche, it is certainly ridiculous to say that no other blockchain has similar capabilities.

    Another relatively newer project in this niche Tixl is now promoting themselves aggressively in the brave browser with a link to a medium post.
