Secretary of State for West Virginia has announced that the Voatz app which was previously announced the would be adopted app for voting in the 2020 elections has been dismissed.

The app would have enabled voters with physical disabilities and those living overseas the opportunity to vote without visiting a polling booth.

However, the app was ditched due to loss of confidence in the app to deliver fair results after a study conducted by MIT and the Department of Homeland Security
