After scoring the hit "Because of You" from his second album of the same name, Ne-Yo released "Do You" as the second single. It's a midtempo R&B ballad, which had its remix version with Mary J. Blige released in the US, and Utada Hikaru for the Japanese release. The song performed moderately reaching number 26 in the US Billboard Hot 100, while only at number 100 in UK Singles chart.
