After hitting the top 10 with the lead single of her sophomore album "The Diary of Alicia Keys" with "You Don't Know My Name", Alicia Keys released the ballad "If I Ain't Got You" as the second single. The ballad also had a remix version with Usher. It became a number 18 hit on UK Singles chart, and achieved 2x platinum. It peaked at number 4 on US Billboard Hot 100, and achieved 7x platinum. The song actually had lower peak in many countries however, achieved high certifications due to strong streaming numbers.
