Wild hibiscus surviving harsh conditions

You may not find a wild hibiscus in a fancy flower shop in the city where everything is sprayed with chemicals to make them shine. When I was walking through the bush behind a construction site last week, I almost stepped on a wild hibiscus blossom. It was just there but I couldn't see it, it was bright red against all the dead grass and stubborn weeds that refuse to die in the middle of no water.

When you see a flower like this, you know that it some things in nature are as resilient as can ever be with their survival.

Most of the plants in the bush are just trying to survive the heat, but this one is so bright I'm shocked it's thriving in harsh conditions like these.

I wanted to even sit down but had too many thorns in my way, and I was getting dust on my slippers so I went straight home. How do some of the best things grow in such hard to get to places?

Sometimes I think we're a lot alike, we like to grow stuff in containers and we try hard to keep those things alive. Some of the house plant owners even talk to their plants, I wonder if they read something that told them plants can hear you speak when even a smart parrot doesn't get you that easily. Some try to water them, fertilize them, as if they can actually hear or feel us trying to save them.

But the interesting thing about this hibiscus plant is that it didn't need any of that. It lives in the ground, with bugs all around it, and tall blades of grass around it that can poke you and make you itch. I stopped and stared at it for a few minutes and I should've taken more pictures, but the screen on my phone was messing up again and it's bright outside I can barely see what's on the phone.

The wind blew the petals on the plant, the petals are so soft on this hibiscus, which I find awkward since everything else on the bush is so rough and dry. It's a little bit of a paradox. I didn't bother to take it because there was no benefit to removing it from its natural habitat. If I can't take care of it, it's better to live it to survive on its own.
