Cal the crow was a young bird living in a sunny meadow area and He deeply admired a deer named C, watching her for months but never being able to approach her. All he could do was imagine it.

But one day a storm year brought every animal to their places. Cal gathered some courage and sent a message to C using this pigeon rookie that just learned how to fly as a courier.

Unfortunately for Cal, she kindly rejected his advances, saying she only wanted to be friends. Let's face it, a deer and a crow don't mix, they can be nothing more than just friends.

Later on, a fox appeared at Cal's tree trunk door saying he delivered messages from a fan, who was not able to contact Cal personally. He visited each morning and talked to Cal for several weeks.

One day, the fox with so much laughter informed Cal there was actually no fan trying to communicate, only an attempt of C's friends make a big fool out the poor bird. It was not C's idea though so he thought, her mistake was telling her deer friends that a crow made advances on her.

And now Cal was the butt of a joke.

Cal moved into the dark woods with so much shame, humiliation and disappointment. He was broken and stayed silent. He transformed into a totally different bird.

But he was not finished yet, because Cal learned C had her sights set on a majestic stag named Q. Cal followed his tracks and mimicked the stag's voice with such precision that you couldn't tell. Don't be surprised, Cal is a crow so he's a natural a mimicking voices.

Using this disguise, he hid behind the door leading C's farm, expressing his love for her.

Believing it to be her lover's voice, C opened up to the bird. Cal revealed his identity then, telling her, I became the storm that broke you because you broke me first.

This was it, operation Karma.

In years to come, Cal would sit in his tree thinking about those years. Older and bitter, he finally acknowledged that he did wrong. He understood that he imprisoned himself in his sorrow because of his actions. The good thing is the meadow forgave him. He forgave himself much later.
