Sweet potato's value

A sweet potato is not something when people are asked about a crop to buy from the market becomes among the first three things they say. Most in my country won't buy a sweet potato because it is not a yam, we eat rice, yam, cassava and plantain more and most of our dishes is made of that.

I'm going to share with you today three reasons why I think you should reconsider buying a sweet potato. The first reason which is the main reason why anyone would choose a crop besides the taste preference is the nutrient density. The sweet potato gives you an abundance of vitamins and it can be as high as 400% of the vitamins needed to keep your eyes healthy.

My second reason is improving skin health. Not that many people think of what they eat when they're trying to get better skin, they're mostly thinking of what cream to buy. But what you put into your body matters even more.

The third reason is a financial one. You save a good amount of money by not spending on skin products and treatments. When you eat sweet potatoes regularly, your skin looks better than if you were to buy high priced skin products which only God knows what other chemicals they put in that can give you health issues.

On occasion I buy about 4 potatoes and boil them in salted water. It should not always be necessary to eat heavy dough or rice on a daily basis. Some of my neighbors believe this is only true for those who are cooking with water instead of steam. I think that's a reason why it is difficult to determine whether boiling or roasting is a better cooking method.

Either way these potatoes contain vitamins, but in my opinion they're more versatile than most vegetables. I will probably head over to the grocery store shortly and buy some more because I don't know how long they will remain on store shelves at a fair price.
