Steem-Agro Drawing Contest 11: Agriculture Through Art

Hello creative farmers and members of Steem Agro, it's good to be here again. I'm always looking forward to the creative contests on this platform and it is time for yet another one. I wanna appreciate @ahsansharif for this contest. So today, we will be drawing trees and I hope to entertain you with my drawing. I remain @destinedhanik.

Step 1:
• I started by drawing the branches of the tree. This I got by drawing different 'Y' shapes and joining them together. Then I drew the trunk of the tree by drawing two horizontal lines and curving them.

Step 2:

In my step 2, I added some roots to the trunk of my tree.

Step 3
This particular step was made up of drawing of shrubs connected to the branches of my trees. I got this by drawing a zigzag shape in a circular form tho in a less pronounced way.

Step 5:
I decided to draw a second tree because trees rarely stand alone. I started by drawing the branch of the tree by drawing an horizontal lines and curving it where necessary to make the branches.

Step 6:
I then drew the leaves of the tree. This one was a different tree with a different leaf. I got the leaves by drawing an oval shape but the oval shape was made in another position.

Step 6:
I completed my drawing by drawing the roots of the second tree.

Step 8 (Final step):
My final step which made my tree real was colouring them. I used green colour for the leaves and brown colour for the trunk and roots of the trees.

Trees are tall plants that have grown big with branches and leaves and sometimes fruits. A tree is a perennial plant (yearslong). It has a single trunk with many branches supporting the leaves. A plant takes 5 to 10 years to become a tree.

Trees provide resources for man and other living creatures and also serves as a natural habitats to living things
We use the log or the trunk of trees for different things like making of furniture, for roofing, as firewood, for medicinal purposes, we use even the leaves of trees for making herbs. Also, other living creatures get their food from trees so trees is important to us. Some animals live in the trees example insects, squirrels, birds, etc

Trees produce oxygen and remove air pollution from our environment.
Trees helps our health by absorbing or removing carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrous oxides, sulfur oxide, etc and many other pollutants. Planting trees around us helps is breath clean air and it helps reduce the risk of some respiratory ailments and helps prevent increase mortality.

Trees are beneficial to out health.
Hugging trees reduces stress by lowering our cortisol levels and it helps us relax and also improves our mood. Hugging trees improves our physical and mental health. It reduces diseases like high blood pressure.

Woods or logs from trees helps generate revenue and improve our economy.
When we sell the logs or use it to make other things like furniture, coffin, houses, we sell it and the money helps in improving our economy.

Trees helps prevent soil erosion and other natural disasters.
Trees bonds the soil together so that wind or water does not wash away the soil. It prevents flooding.

Trees helps clean our water, provides shed for us and beautifies our environment
Trees filter our water and keeps our rivers and streams clean. Trees helps

Without trees, there is the possibility of man and animals dying because we depend on trees for the oxygen to breath. But also, if there isn't enough carbon dioxide in the air, trees will die meaning that we need each other to survive.

We should plant more trees because we are cutting more than we are planting. For every tree we cut, we should plant two in its place. This will help us live longer and there will be less natural calamities like floods. Remember, hugging a tree is beneficial to your health, so hug a tree today.
