Explain in detail the term Farm Management

Farm management refers to running all farming operations in a good and orderly manner. So as to achieve higher production and better profits. It includes proper utilization of land, water, seeds, fertilizers, machinery and labour. A successful farmer always makes decisions by thinking about which crop can give more profit. And when is the best time to grow it.

Planning is very important in farm management. A farmer decides which crop to grow by looking at the weather and conditions. The resources are used properly. So that losses are minimized and gains are maximized. Along with this. It is also necessary to keep an account of income and expenditure to assess the financial condition.

Another important part of this is monitoring. In which the farmer constantly assesses his crop. If a problem arises, such as bugs or lack of water. It is solved immediately. Simply put, farm management means farming wisely.

What is the importance of Farm Management?

Farm management is very important. As it helps the farmer to run his farm in a better way. Through this, the farmer can use his resources like land, water, seeds and fertilizers effectively. Thereby increasing production and reducing losses.

Thanks to farm management. The farmer can better plan what crops to grow and when to grow them. This saves both time and money. Moreover the farmer can also keep track of his income and expenses. It gives him an accurate estimate of his profit.
