Do you like onions?

Onions are related to garlic and belong to the bulb family. They are one of the worlds most adaptable foods and are still a staple everywhere. It's sad that a new phase of the global food crisis is being brought about because of the scarcity of onions. You may not feel it if you're in an arena where they've managed to still ensure constant supply.

The current state of affairs appears to be a systemic collapse rather than a straightforward supply and demand problem. Is it possible that the data was falsified? Why do imports only arrive during harvest season? Many people find it depressing to see local onion prices decline all because of poorly timed imports. This points out the fact that local harvests have limited space because the imported onions are occupying cold storage facilities.

Now because of this issue, farmers are purposefully denied access to cold storage and the imports are still coming in. Food security is at risk with the low prices and growing expenses so we cannot ignore our farmers. I know that like bread, onions have the power to start a civil war even though I may sound like I'm exaggerating. Onions are without a doubt my top 3 vegetable. Some people insist on sautéing the onions in light olive oil with curry powder until they are soft and have the most delicious aroma. Others also say that pickled red onions complement almost anything including fried eggs steak and brisket. But you can still find onion haters by searching for hate onion tweets on X.

One person said that it kind of annoys her that her dad has known her for 27 years and still doesnt realize that she detests onions but I forgot to save that comment. They will tell others that they have an allergy to onions and no one will try to fool them into eating them. One thing is certain, if you want to know what truly makes me happy, jusr wish for a bumper crop of homegrown onions so I don't have to constantly buy them. This is true whether you think onions are not good on their own but with the right meals give me extra every time or you think this shitty vegetable is apparently worth ruining relationships over.
