The dog you're seeing is called Smart, and the dog behaves as his named. Smart is one of the smartest dogs in my area, and the good thing with Smart is that he is always active in the compound, barking at strangers who are coming into the compound for the first time.

Just last Sunday, Smart spent his time at home eating when everyone had gone to church, and I was the first in the compound to return home because I went to morning Mass. As I arrived home, I entered my house and rested, and I fell asleep.

While sleeping, I heard Smart barking so seriously. Since it was during the day, I didn't feel scared like that, and I thought he had seen something different, so I didn't hesitate to come out and look to find out the reason why Smart was barking so hard. Smart kept barking, so I stood up and opened my door.

The moment I opened my door, the person whom Smart was barking at ran away, and then it was at that moment that I noticed Smart was barking and calling for the attention of people around to come and see a thief.

The person came into the compound to steal, and he jumped through the fence. Smart played a key role last Sunday in chasing away the thief because, if not for his constant barking, I wouldn't have woken up, and the person would have succeeded in stealing something in the compound.
