What is Pruning
Pruning is an agricultural and horticultural practice that involves farmers selecting the removal of certain parts of plants, such as roots, branches of trees, buds, and shoots.
The main reason why farmers engage in pruning is to improve growth, plant health, shape, and productivity. Pruning helps to direct plants' energy towards useful growth and removes unwanted or damaged parts in plants.

Maintain Pruning: This is the type of pruning that neglects old plants and focuses on vigorous or fresh growth.
Thinning Pruning: This is the type of pruning that removes overcrowded branches for the purpose of improving air circulation and light penetration.
What are the benefits/effects of Pruning
The benefits/effects of pruning are as follows:
Pruning improves plant health by removing diseased or dead parts of the plant.
Pruning enhances yield and flowering in fruit and ornamental plants.
Pruning improves the shape and appearance of plants.
Pruning promotes strong and balanced growth.
