Best way to grow fresh peppers

My pepper plants have yet to grow nearly as much as I had anticipated I keep looking at them when I get up first thing every day without realizing it’s a habit now.

Peppers need a ton of sun, I would say 8 hours per day and they must be grown in warm soil all season. I’ve done a lot of reading on this. As tropical plants they do not respond well to cool nights and I waited way longer than scheduled because of trying to find the right temps to move the plants to the outside.

The watering also needs to be consistent not too little nor too much, if this is done incorrectly it creates blossom end rot and I’ve previously lost peppers because of this. I'm not going to allow that to happen this year, hopefully. A drip system would be beneficial but I haven’t put one in place yet.

If you're also planting some, a trick here is that the soil pH is supposed to be adjusted from 6.0 to 6.8 so I bought a soil tester even though I never used it, it sits next to the garden beds.

When you harvest green, it's all right but many people prefer harvesting after the fruit has changed to red or yellow depending on the variety. The longer you grow a pepper the sweeter it usually gets, this will be true to some extent with the ones I’m growing.

Another big concern I’ve got is how the flowers will drop if the temperature exceeds 35 degrees Celsius since we are just entering into the dry seasons.
